First of all the very good news. After over
two years of fundraising, we have succeeded
in raising sufficient funds to commence the
much needed re-roofing of both Highbury
House and the Lodge. If you have recently
passed by you may have noticed the building
shrouded in scaffolding. Our Trustees

selected a roofing company in June to carry
out the work and it is expected that
completion will be in about 20 weeks time.
The downside is that for the time being we
are unable to use our car park. We do
apologise if you are visiting and find nearby
parking difficult.

Our deputy Lord Mayor, Councillor Sam Davey opened our week of
Anniversary celebrations by paying a visit to Plymouth Highbury Trust.
He chatted to service users and staff and was very interested in
hearing about the varied services we provide throughout Plymouth.
Below are some pictures of his visit.

These two wonderfully crazy people are
planning their next fundraising feat.
On 3 September, Steve plans to push a
JCB rear tyre weighing a massive 220lb
around Burrator reservoir with triple
amputee, Mark walking the 4 miles on his
prosthetic limbs. A distance he hasn’t
done before.
