Peace and Social Justice Committee
Our committee meets the first Wednesday of the month at
St. Michael's Office; our next meeting will be Dec 7th
@6:30pm. Our focus is to carry out our parish mission
by addressing social issues and needs within our parish.
For example, at our last meeting we discussed supporting
Roc/ACTS at the County Legislative meeting on
Nov 15th to advocate for increased funding for child care;
reaching out to community groups (such as PittsForward)
to address racial issues; Lenten soup suppers and the
Christmas angel trees. We would like to have someone
from each mass join us. If you have questions or
issues to bring to us please join us on the 7th. If you need
a ride please call Gloria Forgione at 288-1466.
The Scrip Gift Card Program
We are no longer participating in the Scrip gift card program due
to some changes in the requirements of how the program is
administered for parishes. It no longer seems worthwhile to
continue this program. If you have order forms for these gift cards
please discard them. We thank the many people who used this
program in the past, especially the weeks leading up to Christmas,
when the multiple orders each week made it worthwhile.

Day of Penance
As you prepare for Christmas, don’t forget to prepare
spiritually to receive Jesus on his birthday.
There will be a day of Penance on
Friday, December 9 from 3pm until 7 pm.
Confessions will be heard at Annunciation in English
and at St. Michael in Spanish.

Come hear the testimony of Kelly, wife of Jay and mother
of their four children from Albion, NY and an elementary
school teacher for over 25 years as she speaks about her
difficult journey as their 15 year old son, Nicholas, was
dying in 2011. Her personal relationship with Jesus
was her strength as she struggled with Nicholas’s
eventual death. Come and be inspired and
strengthened in your own walk with Him.

Comité de Paz y Justicia
Nuestro comité se reúne el primer miércoles del mes en la
Oficina de San Miguel; nuestra próxima reunión es el 7 de
diciembre a las 6:30. Nuestro enfoque es llevar a cabo
nuestra misión dirigiéndonos a los problemas y necesidades
sociales dentro de nuestra parroquia. Por ejemplo, en la
última reunión hablábamos de apoyar Roc/ACTS en la
