Site description
Site consists of three connected areas.
1. Mineral and Stone Reserve (11ha) – Multi aged White Box with many significant older trees along
edges. Blakleys Red Gum and She-oak also present. Scattered shrub layer and dominant cover of
native grasses including Wallaby, Kangaroo and Spear. Moderate to adundant deadfall.
2. Private farmland (11ha) adjoins on nw edge of site 1. White Box overstorey and ground cover
comprising mainly Spear Grass. Shrub layer absent.
3. East End Rd roadside (17ha) comprises mutliaged White Box and ground cover of predominantly
native grasses including Wallaby, Spear, Wheat and Kangaroo. Paddock to the north contains
good patches of Kangaroo Grass. Abundant ground litter and moderate deadfall. Gravel extraction
area to the south contains abundant regeneration of White Box and Blakleys Red Gum with
dominant groundcover of native grasses.

Management Options
Site should be managed as one entity.
Area 1
-Erect signage to highlight sites values and constraints.
-Revegetate gravel pit using site specific species.
-Close boundary track and rehabilitate.
-Conduct Spring flora and fauna surveys.
Area 2
-Liaise with landholder
-Retain all deadfall
-Exclude grazing

-Contact relevant government (DPI/DSE/CMA) agencies and private organisations (TfN) to find out
information on management and environmental incentives.
