As part of this, NSW Self Insurance Corporation is required to ensure that fraudulent activity is minimised. This ensures that there is not an unnecessary drain on the NSW workers compensation scheme and hard-working taxpayers. Unfortunately insurance fraud is a serious issue, which results in higher insurance premiums to businesses and takes away important resources that the state’s seriously injured people need the most. In relation to ’s claim, NSW Self Insurance Corporation is advised by the claims manager that all policies and procedures with regards to administering the claim were followed by the claims manager, on behalf of NSW Self Insurance Corporation, in accordance with legislation set by the Workers Compensation Act 1987. Any claims agent found to be in substantial breach of any other laws may trigger a termination of their contract if it is not capable of remedy.
