PROJECT – COMPUTER ARTS – ADVANCED LEVEL
1. Create an Object, Set its Attributes and Shear
it.
a. Create a rectangle with rounded corners.
b. Set the width to 200 pts and the height to 150
pts.
c. Give it a fill of CMYK 65:0:0:0.
d. Give it a stroke of CMYK 1:90:0:0.
e. Shear the object horizontally at an angle of
20 so that the rectangle is now a
parallelogram.
2. Set Attributes for Objects
a.Create an oval 80 pts high and 120 wide.
b.Place the oval on top of the parallelogram.
c.Centre align the parallelogram and oval
vertically and horizontally.
d.Exclude the path of the oval from that
of the parallelogram so that an oval
hole is in its middle.
6. Create Text along a Path
a. Copy the drawn object and scale the second
version so that it surrounds the rectangle.
b. Create text of your choice that follows the
object’s path and surrounds the
rectangle.
7. Reshape an Object and Change the Direction
of a Curve
a. Select two or more anchor points on the first
drawn rough circle.
b. Move the anchor points to change the
shape of the object.
c. Change the shape of the object by
changing the direction of a curve.
8. Place an Image
a. Place an external image into the drawing.
b. Resize and move the image to integrate it
with the drawing.
3. Add a Gradient to an Object
a. Create an oval that fits in the centre hole,
leaving some white space around it.
b. Centre align the parallelogram and oval
vertically and horizontally.
c. Add a radial gradient to the oval using
foreground and background colours of your
choice.
4. Split and Unite Object Paths
a. Split the oval into two equal parts.
b. Move both parts slightly apart so that there is
some white space between them.
c. Unite their paths.
5. Draw using the Paintbrush Tool
a. Group the rectangle and oval objects.
b. Set the Paintbrush Tool so that it has a width
of 4 pts.
c. Use the Paintbrush Tool to draw a rough circle
around the hole in the parallelogram wit the
circle on top of the parallelogram
9. Use Rulers and Guides and Scale Entire
Drawing
a. Make rulers appear.
b. Set two guides 300 pts apart.
c. Group all objects in the drawing.
d.Scale the drawing so that the left and right
sides of it are just within the two guides.
10.Set Print Resolution, Save, Print, Rasterize
and Export in a Different Format
a. Set the print resolution to 300 dpi.
b. Save the drawing using your name.
c. Print the drawing label with your name.
d. Rasterize the drawing at 300 dpi.
e. Export your image as a Photoshop file.
