PHOENIX 7 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND REPAIR PARTS LIST FOR GENERAL USE WEATHER-TIGHT FIXTURES REGULAR ROUGH SERVICE, PORTABLE ROUGH SERVICE & MARINE/ROUGH SERVICE FIXTURES STURDILITE7 ModelsWT-120/500, WT-120/56/500, WT-120/500P, WT-120/56/500P, WT-12/56/300P, WT-12/56/300P-14 MOUNTING (For Stationary Models Only) Fasten fixture with four 3/8 inch (9.5mm) bolts through holes provided in mounting base. Do not mount on unsupported cap or house roof. Attach near corner supports or use adequate subbase. Avoid mounting on light-weight cross members of booms or derricks which will vibrate or flex excessively. In addition to normal (base down) mounting, fixture may be attached in a pendant or cantilever manner. Lamping is accomplished through the hinged cover glass assembly. For fixtures with PAR 56 lamps, loosen two (2) screws on lamp support ring and rotate lamp retaining ring free from screws. Bring lamp partially out of fixture and detach socket. To install new lamp, just reverse the steps for lamp removal. When pushing socket onto lamp prongs of PAR 56 lamps, do not use excessive force. If socket goes on hard, try aligning contacts inside with slots in porcelain body by means of knife blade. LAMPING When re-lamping, it is recommended that the cover glass be cleaned to maintain fixture efficiency. (See CLEANING, Page 4.) CAUTION WARNING TURN OFF FIXTURE AND ALLOW IT TO COOL BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO RE-LAMP. WT-120/500P & WT-120/56/500P PLUG INTO A GFCI PROTECTED RECEPTACLE ONLY. All wiring should be done by licensed electricians in accordance with State & WIRING: Models WT 120/500, WT 120/56/500 These fixtures are prewired with a 4 foot (1.22m) three conductor electrical cord Apigtail@ for wiring to suitable power source. The green conductor is grounded to the fixture and must be connected to a positive ground. DO NOT CONNECT GREEN WIRE TO POWER SOURCE. CAUTION Local codes plus NEC (National Electric Code Standards). Improper installation or use may result in serious injury. Models WT 120/500P and WT 120/56/500P CLEANING: These fixtures are prewired with a stub three conductor electrical cord with attached watertight male twist-lock connector for connection to suitable power source with a mating watertight female twist-lock connector. Models WT 12/56/300P and WT 12/56/300P-14 These fixtures are prewired with a 10 foot (3.05m) and a 14 foot (4.27m) (respectively) two conductor electrical cord for wiring to suitable power source. If the interior surface of the cover glass becomes dirty it is recommended that it be cleaned to maintain maximum light output. The glass may be cleaned with any non-abrasive conventional glass cleaner. To prevent the cover glass gasket from sticking at sealing surfaces it is recommended that a liquid silicone release agent be used. Best results are achieved when one application on the gasket is wiped dry (to clean the surface) and then a second application allowed to remain wet when cover glass assembly is replaced during relamping.
