& Maintain Your POOL

ENJOY SPARKLING~BLUE WATER ALL SUMMER LONG!! #1 DRAIN WATER from the top of the cover.
! Use a siphon hose or a small cover pump.
! Be careful to not drain water from the pool through the cover.
! Once most of the water is removed, you can RAISE the WATER level
! in the pool and then remove the cover ( or)
! You can clean the cover when it is still on the pool.
! A wet/dry vacuum works good for removing the last amounts of water
! from the cover.
! Use BioGuard STOW-AWAY to clean the cover & then store
! it in a large garbage container in a diluted solution of Stow-Away & water
#2 Insert all Baskets @ skimmer & pump, Insert All Plugs & Pressure gauge
& gently tighten.
• Lubricate all o-rings & gaskets with a non-petroleum based lube.
• ( See Heater info on the back of this sheet )
#3 Before Turning on the pump be sure that it is primed. Pour water into the pump
basket until water enters the line to the pool, then secure the lid.
#4 Turn on pump with the Filter set on BACKWASH.
#5 Run until the backwash water clears. Turn the pump off & set to RINSE, run
until water is clear. Now you are ready to FILTER.
! NEVER change the position on your filter with the pump running. The 1st DAY of Opening --#6 VACUUM & BRUSH the pool to remove ALL Debris.
#7 If your pool has a heater or your make up water contains Iron you should add:
! Add_______oz. Pool Magnet
(or)
_______oz. Staintrine
o (1 Qt/10,000 gallons) (1 Qt/ 20,000 gallons)
! If you use Mineral Springs System you MUST ADD:
o _______Qt Mineral Springs Stain & Scale (1 Qt/ 5,000 gallons)
#8 Wait 1 hour then:
! Add_______oz. Natural Chemistry Pool Magic (1 bottle/24,000 gallons)
! Add_______oz. BACK UP (or) ALGAE ALL 60 Algicide (1 Qt. /24,000 gallons) The 2nd DAY of Opening --#9 Bring in a Water Sample for complete balancing after Vacuuming & Brushing.
#10 Add Balancing Chemicals per the Water Analysis Recommendation.
#11 Add at Night when the SUN if off the pool.
! _______bags BURN OUT 3 (1-2 Bags/10,000 gallons) or BURN OUT 73 (1 Bag/16,500 gallons)
! If the pool temp. is <75 degrees we recommend brushing after adding to avoid bleaching.
