RENTAL PERIODS
Minimum:
For your convenience, some pieces of equipment are available for a
four-hour period. Unless otherwise noted, the minimum rental period
is one day (24 hours).
24 Hours:
Any 24-hour period beginning at 7 a.m. Monday through 3 p.m.
Friday.
Saturdays:
When equipment is picked up after 3 p.m. on Friday and returned by
1:30 p.m. on Saturday, the charge will be 80% of the 24-hour rate.
When equipment is picked up on Saturday and returned by 9 a.m. on
Monday, the charge will be for one (1) day only.
Sundays:Closed
Weekend:
When equipment is picked up after 3 p.m. on Friday and returned by
9 a.m. on Monday, the charge will be for two (2) days only.
Week:
Consists of seven (7) consecutive days.
Month: Consists of four (4) weeks or twenty-eight (28) consecutive days.
Holidays: On those holidays when Hamilton Building Supply is closed, if the
equipment is picked up after 4 p.m. on the day before the holiday
and returned by 9 a.m. the day after the holiday, the rental period
will be considered as 24 hours and the charge will be for one day
only.
If the holiday falls on a Monday and the equipment is picked up
after 3 p.m. on Friday and returned by 9 a.m. on Tuesday, the charge
will be for 2-1/2 days or 60 hours. If the equipment is picked up
on Saturday after 12 noon and returned by 9 a.m. on Tuesday, the
charge will be for 1-1/2 days or 36 hours.

DELIVERY & PICK UP POLICY
Hamilton Building Supply will gladly deliver and/or pick up any piece of equipment that we offer for
rental. Charges for delivery and/or pick up are based on accompanying orders and/or distance. The
rates listed below apply to all equipment with the exception of any equipment that requires trailer transport. Because equipment requiring trailer transport has unit-specific delivery and pick up
charges, we ask that you contact the rental desk for rental rates.
DELIVERY:
1.
FREE delivery with an accompanying order of $225.00 or more in merchandise.
2.
When there is no accompanying order, or the accompanying order is less than $225.00,
the following flat delivery charge (regardless of the number of pieces of equipment) applies:
Within 10-mile radius:

Within 20-mile radius:

Within 30-mile radius:

PICK UP:
1.
FREE pick up with delivery of an accompanying order of $225.00 or more in merchandise
that is delivered at the same time as the pick up of the rental equipment.
2.
When there is no accompanying order or the accompanying order to be delivered at
the same time as the pick up totals less than $225.00, the following flat pick up
charge (regardless of the number of pieces of rental equipment) applies:

Delivery: At time equipment is loaded (not to exceed two hours before receipt)
Pick Up: At time equipment is in yard (not to exceed two hours after receipt)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Hours:

7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday:7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Terms:
Acceptable methods of payment include cash, check, Visa, Master Card,
Discover, American Express or Hamilton Building Supply charge account.
Deposits:
All customers who do not have an established Hamilton Building Supply
charge account will be required to place a deposit on rented equipment.
Deposit shall be an amount equivalent to two weeks’ rental, with a
minimum deposit of $20.00. Deposits are fully refundable upon the
return of the equipment.
Ownership:
Title to rental property is, and at all times shall remain, in the name
of the lessor, Hamilton Building Supply.
Insurance:
Customer agrees to pay for any damage to, or loss of, equipment
regardless of cause, except reasonable wear and tear, while equipment is in the possession of the customer. Proof of insurance is
required before equipment is rented.
Customer shall, at his own expense, keep the equipment insured
during the term of the agreement for the full value thereof against
all risks of physical loss or damage from any cause, irrespective of
deductible, with loss payable clauses for the benefit of Hamilton
Building Supply.
Once the equipment leaves the property of Hamilton Building Supply,
the customer is completely responsible for it until the customer is
in possession of a receipt. Hamilton Building Supply’s insurance does
not cover the equipment while it is in the customer’s possession. The
customer’s phone or fax communication to the Hamilton Building
Supply dispatcher or rental agent does not terminate the customer’s
responsibility for maintaining the security of the equipment.
NO INSURANCE, LICENSE, SALES OR USE TAXES ARE INCLUDED IN
RENTAL RATES.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
Liquid Levels:
Customer shall attend to the normal operating needs of equipment,
including but not limited to, checking oil level, coolant system level
and battery wear level at the beginning of each 8-hour shift.
Customer shall supply and add clean fuel (with proper oil mix
ratio if indicated), as well as oil, coolant and battery water as
required. Fuel tanks will be filled by Hamilton Building Supply at
point of rental. There is no charge for this service if tank is returned to us filled.
Cleaning: Customer also agrees to a $40.00/hour ($10.00 minimum) charge
for equipment returned in a dirty or “un-rentable” condition.
Tires: The customer will be responsible for all tire damage or deflations.
Damage resulting from normal wear and tear will be the responsibility of Hamilton Building Supply.
SAFETY
Hamilton Building Supply strongly urges caution and respect in the use of all equipment. In addition,
eye, ear and general protection should be utilized by the equipment operator at all times. Safety
equipment is the responsibility of the customer. Safety protection is available from Hamilton
Building Supply. Operating instructions will accompany all equipment rentals. If, for some reason,
you do not receive operating instructions, do not operate the equipment. We will provide you with
instructions.
PRICING
Hamilton Building Supply reserves the right to change listed prices without notice. In addition
to the 24-hour, Weekly and Monthly rates contained herein, many pieces of equipment are
subject to Minimum, Saturday, Weekend, Holiday and Long-Term Negotiated rates. The
interior pages of our Rental Rate Guide may change periodically. Please check with the
rental desk to make sure pricing is current.
