Every city has a place that refuses to blend in. Reno’s
Truckee River Arts District is such a place. It runs from the
Riverwalk along the Truckee River to California Avenue
just a few short blocks south, much of the route is defined
by sixty wind-driven kinetic copper and Steel sculptures
mounted to the neighborhood light poles. The classic and
contemporary architecture offer a distinct backdrop and
add to the physical charm of this district that begs to be
explored. Exploring the Truckee River Arts District will
give you firsthand experience of Downtown Reno’s recent
urban renaissance and features numerous locally owned
businesses, galleries and public art.
