Stage Color 1000 is an impressive washlight given added
power by a halogen lamp, intended mainly for theatre and TV
applications. It has been designed and constructed in
response to the requests put forward by many lighting designers
working in this sector, and thus meets the requirements typical
of this field.
Stage Color 1000
respond, each in its own
way, to the sophisticated
requirements of
the world of the theatre
and television, which
demands quiet operation,
complete mastery of
color temperature
and combinations, the
capability for highly
expressive use of light,
and an extremely high
level of reliability.
The Stage Color 1200 color system (1)
uses three basic colors, Cyan, Magenta and
Yellow, combined to produce an infinite number
of hues. However, it also has a fourth disc,
Amber in color (2), with gradual insertion.
The combination of CMY and Amber produces
a strikingly new range of pastel shades that
systems based on just three colors are unable to
provide; the answer to the most
discriminating lighting designers’ prayers.

“GTC”, Gradual
color Temperature Correction

The GTC system allows gradual
correction of the color temperature from 6000 to 3200 Kelvin.
This innovation is essential in
professional theatre and TV, for
perfect compensation of the inevitable differences
in lamp color temperature when several
luminaires are used on the same set.

New generation frost
This innovation is based on a new concept in the design
and construction of frost effect filters. It employs
innovative spherical optical glass caps (4), with one side
treated to obtain small lenses.
Stage Color 575 has three filters for three different
intensity frost effects. The most intensive, with beam
angle of no less than 50° and exclusive to Clay Paky,
creates splendid color washes, perfectly uniform even
when projected from short distances.

In the theatre and television, constant color temperature
is particularly useful. Stage Color 1000 is equipped with a
powerful 1000 Watt halogen lamp which eliminates any
color temperature control problems by its very technology.
Special effects
Stage Color 1000
offers various special
effects, including the
horizontal or vertical
ovalized projection (3b),
which expands the illuminated area, electronic
dimmer controlled by
a single channel, beam
stopper and strobe (4).
A latest generation optical glass frost filter (3a) provides a
wide angle of aperture and perfectly uniform light intensity
over the entire illuminated area, while greatly reducing
the typical loss of brightness associated with conventional
diffusers.
