November IMA National Theme - "Giving Back"
The November IMA National teleconference theme is "Giving
Back".
Our Chapter has been asked to lead a discussion of our annual
project of giving presents to families who would be lacking a
Christmas.
Karen Wilson and Ron Nicholson will provide the details,
encouragement and help to chapters nationwide in the hope that
many will adopt a similar project.

About the Speakers
Doris Gardner: is a Special Agent in the FBI Office in Charlotte, North Carolina where she
supervised the cyber crime squad for over seven years for the entire state. She holds a bachelor’s
degree in mathematics and computer science from Catawba College, Salisbury, North Carolina.
Her master’s degree is in theoretical mathematics from Wake Forest University, Winston Salem,
North Carolina. Prior to being assigned to FBI Charlotte, she was assigned to the National
Infrastructure Protection Center (NIPC), at FBI headquarters. Prior to being assigned to FBI
headquarters, she was assigned to the FBI’s Baltimore division and was the case agent on an FBI
undercover operation called “Innocent Images”.
Richard Greene: has had 40 years in teaching at high school, community college and university
level. He retired as chief financial officer for county public school system with 19 years
experience. He also has 11 years of experience as a consultant to North Carolina Public Schools.
He is currently a Professor and Accounting Program Coordinator at Lenoir-Rhyne University
School of Business. Richard is the chairman of the North Carolina state task force committee for
computer systems in state, county, city and town government and board of education serving a 5
year term. Also is and has served on the North Carolina Capital Management Trust Board and
Government investment pool managed by Fidelity Management for two 4 year terms.
Dr. C. M. “Mickey Metcalf, MBA, MBA+, JD: has been owner, CEO,COO,CFO of public
and private enterprises for 45+ years. In addition, he has been an active management consultant
to business In IT and General business issues, especially in turn-around situations. Mickey has
also been an adjunct management professor at 7 universities and a full-time faculty member of
Gardner-Webb University Godbold School of Business since 2004. He received his BA from
Oglethorpe University in 1963, his MBA from the University of South Carolina in 1965 and the
following post graduate studies; Wake Forest University, J.D., 1988, Post Master’s studies
University of South Carolina, Columbia 1965-6, Gardner-Webb University, MBA+ (Economics)
2011.
Robert W. Hickson Jr.: a partner with BluePointe, LLC, has spent over twenty years in
technology consulting. As founder of a leading e-commerce web site focusing on luxury goods,
Rob created a profitable retail business model without using a traditional retail store structure.
Rob is a James M. Johnson Scholar and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Silver Medal Winner on the CPA Examination for scoring the
second highest grade. He has been honored with the Outstanding Conference Speaker Award for
the past eight consecutive years by the North Carolina Association of CPAs.
