TableFor1200More highlights Winnipeg’s emerging design scene by bringing together architecture, urban design and the culinary arts to create an evening of fun and stimulating conversation in an absolutely unique setting. At 365 meters long, TableFor1200More will be one of the world’s longest dinner tables and a truly spectacular ‘pop up’ outdoor dining experience. The event will be an exciting opportunity to engage in a public conversation about the value of design and the city. It will take place in a public location in Winnipeg, to be announced one hour prior to the occasion. StorefrontMB’s mandate is to raise awareness about the value of architecture, design and urbanism. This event serves as a fundraiser to support other SfMB projects such as the Winnipeg Design Festival, Cool Gardens, and Re-Imagining Winnipeg. TableFor1200More will invite representatives from government, prominent institutions and citizens alike to take a seat at the table and join in on a discussion around design culture. Meals for the event will be provided by local chefs Mandel Hitzer (Deer + Almond) and Ben Kramer, who along with their partners, are planning a prairie-themed dinner. We are inviting all attendees to dress for a “Winnipeg White Out” in all white to enhance the truly unique and magical visual dimension. We will provide an orientation session for your designated Table Captain (point contact) to cover the logistics involved in ‘popping’ your table up on site.
