Dear students and families: Our senior camping trip is rapidly approaching! We are very excited about the great things we will be doing while in the Cypress Hills. A huge thank you to the parents who have volunteered to drive – we couldn’t do it without you! The following information is VERY important, so please read this thoroughly: 1. We have some really great meals planned, and all students will participate in the preparation of meals. Please note that you are responsible for bringing a bag lunch from home Monday morning. Supper that evening will be sausage, potatoes, and carrots. Breakfast will be pancakes, ham, eggs, and fruit. Huge thanks to Kristi Jamieson for donating eggs! Lunch will be soup and sandwich with veggies. We will also have various snacks including muffins, granola bars, trail mix, etc. Of course, no camping trip would be complete without popcorn, marshmallows, and hotdogs for campfire. Please feel free to bring some of your own snacks for the trip, or extras you might like to snack on at campfire. 2. In order to eliminate waste, we are asking each student to please bring a water bottle, plate, bowl, and cutlery for meals – perhaps consider packing in a special bag so it can be left in the meal area. Each student will wash up their own dishes after meals. Please label your items clearly with your name. 3. You MUST each have a sleeping bag and pillow. If you do not have a sleeping bag, PLEASE let us know immediately so we can arrange to borrow. 4. PACK LIGHT, AND FOR ALL WEATHER. We have EXTREMELY limited space for gear. Bring ONLY the necessities to get you through one night of camping. Rain, sun, and bug protection will be particularly important! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns as we approach the trip. Should circumstances arise where you are not able to attend, please notify us immediately. We know this is going to be a fun trip with lots of fun and learning! Thanks for your supportMrs. Wicks, Mrs. Watson, Miss Cooper
