In the event of extreme weather conditions, emergency etc. the SWR website will be
updated by 0630 if there is any news on closure or a later start to the school
day. This will be the main source of communication to parents/carers.
Messages from the Art Department
IMPORTANT
The FINAL deadline for all GCSE and A level Art and Photography students’ coursework
is Friday 3rd February at 3pm. This is the coursework aspect of the course which is worth 60%
of their final grade. The students’ work will be taken in during their lesson.
To help support students we would like to remind them of the necessity to attend the
catch up sessions after school every Tuesday from 3 – 5 pm.

Wycombe Homeless Connection are celebrating their charity’s 10 year anniversary. They are planning
ten special occasions to mark a decade of fighting homelessness. One of these events is an Art
Competition and we will be entering art work from Sir Willliam Ramsay School students.
The winner of each age category (11-14 & 15-18) will win a Samsung Galaxy Tablet E9.6 and have their entry
featured in Wycombe Homeless Connection's 10th Anniversary booklet.
Brief: Create an A5 – A2 piece of art on the theme of ‘Journeys’. (It can be Photography, Graphic
Design, paint, pencil, pastel)

term report on the SLG. In addition if parents/carers did not receive a letter with their SLG login

Important message for Year 11 Parents/Carers
The revised date for our Year 11 Academic Review day is Tuesday, 7th February. Letters will follow
shortly to inform students and parents/carers of their allocated time slot and the member of staff they
will be meeting with as not all meetings are with Form Tutors.
