Sparta and Athens are in a struggle to become the most powerful city-state in Greece. Your task will be
to construct an appealing, informative recruitment poster to lure all other Greeks to organize under
either an Athenian or Spartan model of rule. Choose which model you think is better and use your pro
and cons sheet to help you create your poster.
What to Include:

An engaging and appealing title* (5 points)
•
Pros and cons throughout which favor one model over the other (10 points)(So if you choose
Sparta you will tell the pros of Sparta and Cons of Athens)

Needs to fill the page and be colorful (7 points)
•
Illustrations total of 4 (only 2 pictures can be from a computer) to supplement your material (8
points)
•
A one page written explanation of why military strength is better than educational
development (Sparta), or educations development is better than military strength (Athens). (15
points)
