Software Download Failed This issue is usually caused when trying to update software, such as during a rate change. It is usually seen when using the connection method of PC Meter Connect through your computer. To attempt to resolve this issue firstly right click on the PC Meter Connect icon on the lower right hand corner of your taskbar: Now left click on Internet Settings. You will then see the following page: Now it is a case of altering the settings above to suit your individual p.c. Depending on the model of meter you have, the best place to start is to change from the default FTP selection to the HTTP Mode radio button on the Protocol choice (see top left). Confirm this by selecting OK. Now attempt the download again on your meter. You can also try and alter the HTTP Transfer Encoding Method from Non-Chunked to Chunked (or vice-versa) and also you can try altering the FTP Mode from Passive to Active (or vice versa). There are no real hard or fast rules here as each p.c. / I.T. configuration will differ from one customer to the next so it is a case of altering the settings to what works for you.
