Things to do in Winona Lake
•
Stroll thru the shops and eateries in the lovely Village At Winona Lake. For
more information about the village go to www.villageatwinona.com
•
Relax at the Winona Lake Park, which is located on Park Avenue. There are
tennis courts, a playground, beach area, pavilions and tables for picnics, and
lots of beautiful trees and grassy areas.
•
At the Pottery Bayou, located in the Winona Lake Village, create a “paint your
own pottery” masterpiece.
•
After the final concert on August 1, come to the Billy Sunday Day and Ice
Cream Social for a blast from the past! Take a free tour of the Sunday family
home guided by “Ma” Sunday herself (well almost). Take an historic bicycle
tour of old Winona with the “Wheelmen” High Wheel Bicycle Club or join in the
canal canoe races and watermelon seed spitting contest for good oldfashioned summertime fun. Sign up for the bike raffle all week leading up to
August 1.
•
Bring your bikes or rent bikes at the Trailhouse Village Outdoor Store and ride
the bike trails. Near by, over 10 miles of diverse mountain bike trails create
one of the Midwest’s most highly touted cycling stops. The trails are fast, and
weaving single- track sections along with root and log crossings, bridges,
jumps, technical drops, descents and lung-busting short climbs throughout the
wooded landscape. Terrain and route lengths trails vary, and accommodate
beginners to seasoned experts.
•
The Wagon Wheel Theatre, which is connected to the Ramada Hotel, will
be playing “A Chorus Line” July 29-August 8 . For more information about
the show go to www.wagonwheeltheatre.com.
