Representation of Structure
Europium doped strontium iodide (SrI2:Eu) exhibits high light yields with excellent energy resolution
at 662 keV. SrI2 crystals are grown easily from the Bridgman method, are much less hygroscopic than
alkali or rare earth iodides and do not suffer isotope interferences. Strontium Fluoride is a key optical
material with high transparency in the UV to Vacuum-UV spectrum.
Strontium Halides from SAFC Hitech™ are available as anhydrous powders and SrI2 is available as
anhydrous beads. Material can be packaged in customer furnished containers or to custom quantity
in a choice of packaging options.
