Loving our Neighbor...Hollymont Mission Moment
Once again you all have shown your
love and generosity through donating to our mission project. This
summer we partnered with Eblen
Charities, a local organization here in
Asheville. Many of you have participated in Christmas gift drives for
children and families in your own
hometown. Sadly, many organizations only accept and provide for
young children, leaving out girls and boys ages 12-18. Eblen is the only organization here that makes sure kids of all ages receive
something at Christmas. Thanks to our campers and
staff, many young women in the Asheville area will be
blessed with some wonderful Christmas gifts this year.
We hope and pray that as you participate in these efforts, you will remember to pray for those that receive
these blessings and to look for ways to get involved in your own communities.
Let’s continue to share with others what God has generously blessed us with!
Come float with me...a river adventure
Attention campers ages 12 and up—we have a new trip offering
for Hollymont 2015! Allie and Amy experienced it first hand and
loved it. You can float down the beautiful Green River in your
own inflatable kayak. Guides with Green River Adventures instruct you from their kayak as you float down the peaceful river
with a few Class I and II rapids. Each trip is limited to 10 campers so get your application in early and sign up now. Cost is $115
and includes gear, instruction, and lunch with memories of floating down the river with your best friends!

Hollymont has so many great
cooks! We love tasting all the
delicious goodies you whip up for
the tea party each session.
Hopefully you are continuing to
work on your cooking skills while
at home. We want to share your
favorite recipes with the rest of
the Hollymont family.
Each month we will have a theme and you
can submit your favorite recipe for a chance to
be published, receive a special gift and possibly be added to the cooking skill menu next
summer.
So, get those aprons out and start cooking up
your favorite recipes for all of us to try. Recipes don’t have to be original.
Our next issue will run early October. Send us
your best PUMPKIN recipe. It can be anything: pumpkin bread, waffles, lasagna—you
name it!
Send all entries to [email protected] by
September 19.
