meteorite is very heavy when compared to other earth rocks
with similar dimension. Since most portion of the meteorite is
iron, Magnets will be attracted to it.
Weighs 100 grams.
Approx. dimensions are 50 mm x 37 mm x 27 mm
Description of Canyon Diablo Meteorites:
"This type of meteorite was originally found in 1891. Coconino County,
Arizona, U.S.A. Located at 35 degrees 3 minutes North, 111 degrees 2
minutes West" This site is now known as "Meteor Crater."
"It is classified as an Iron, coarse octahedrite (IA). The average
composition is 92% Fe and 7% Ni. Diamonds have occasionally been
found within carbon deposits associated with this type of meteorite."
