James Spann Edmunds, the; bride was
lovely in .her full length gown of
ivory bouquet taffeta, fashioned with
a scoop neckline, three-quarter length
sleeves and' an empire waistline trimmed with a band of seed pearls and
crystal beads. The gored skirt extended in the back to form a chapel train.
Her fingertip veil of imported french
illusion was attached to a cap of lace
embroidered with seed 'pearls. She
carried a bouquet of white roses,

Immediately following the ceremony
a reception was held at the home of
the bride's and
parents
in Ridgeway.

bridal couple and their parents.
Assisting the couple' in receiving
were Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Edmunds
and Mr. and Mrs. V. E, Barnett who
greeted the guests at the door. Serving at the reception were Mrs. J.
W. Milling, Jr., Mrs. Frank Culbertson, Mrs. B. Y. Palmer, Mrs. D. W.
Ruff, Jr., Miss Ann Metcalfe, Miss
Jean Bobo, Miss Yancy Heins, and
Mrs. R. W. Thomas.
The home was decorated with floral
arrangements of white gladioli, daisy
mums and magnolia leaves.
The bride's mother wore a street
length gown of moss green peau .de!
soie and a corsage of sweetheart'
roses.
The mother of the bridegroom wore
a mauve chiffon street length gown'
with a lace top. Her corsage was of
sweetheart roses.
Later in the evening the couple
left on their wedding trip to Hilton

wedding of Miss Nancy Caroline Edmunds and Benjamin Land Bivens of
Macon, Georgia, which was solemnized at 7 p.m., June 23. The Rev. Thomas F. Hudson, rector, officiated at
the single ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James Spann Edmunds of
Ridgeway and the bridegroom is the
son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jackson Bivens, Sr., of Macon, Georgia.
Presenting a program of wedding
music was Mrs. Robert W. Metcalfe,
organist. John V. Nicholson, Jr., of
Spartanburg served as acolyte.
Miss Norma Kathryn Hearne of
Charleston was maid of honor. She
