Willows Lodge, Garden Area, Woodinville, WA
Woodinville is located approximately 20 miles northeast of Seattle, WA. Woodinville
is in King County and has has waterfront parks on the Sammamish River, winery and
brewery grounds and well as densely wooded residential areas. Woodinville began as
a logging community and became a farming center in the early decades of the of the
20th century and developed into a suburb of Seattle after World War II. Woodinville
has a beautiful town center with a mix of retail shops and restaurants. On the edge of
the city there is valley Industrial area and a little further out is beautiful vistas of farms
and of course mountains.
Seattle Space Needle, Seattle, WA
The Space needle was built in 1962 as the focal point of the 1962 World’s Fair. The
Needle was built in one year for a mere cost of 4.5 million dollars. In 2000, the Space
Needle underwent a 21 million dollar renovation adding the Sky City Restaurant and
the Space Base Retail Store. Accenting the beauty of the Space Needle at night, the
Sky Beam bright light was added to the crest of the tower. Well known Architect John
Graham designed the Space Needle and all plans were followed including original designs left off the building in 1962, Sky Beam Bight Light and The SkyCity Restaurant.

Colored Water Beads
A Beautiful Way to Water Your Plants
Water beads are a revolutionary new and unique
water conserving product for plants and cut flowers. Simply
put the small packet of beads into water. The water beads
will expand, and you pour off the excess water. Put the
remaining beads into a clear glass or plastic vase or bowl
and insert your plant, fresh flowers or artificial flowers. For
added beauty many people add a submersible light to really
make the beads sparkle. They can be reused and washed
and they’re non-toxic with no odor.
One small packet of 10 grams of beads will produce
about 500 grams of beads once they are hydrated. Soak
overnight to a ratio of one vial of beads to 50 parts water.
You can add more water or pour out any extra water when
the beads expand. They can also be used to water potted/
garden plants and flowers. This product is non-polluting and
will not fade. It is reusable as long as you add water to rehydrate the water beads (approximately every 7-9 weeks). Of
course, this product is not edible and should be kept away
from small children.
Water beads can be used as a decoration for
birthdays, baby/bridal showers, graduations, anniversaries,

"Chicken Fingers on a Stick" by Debs
Breaded chicken is a good bet for finicky eaters, and this variation, grilled and
served on a skewer, makes it even more appealing to kids. Add your child's
favorite dipping sauce, and there might not be any left for the adults!
INGREDIENTS
• 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, pounded 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick
• Salt and pepper
• 24 (10-inch) bamboo skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes
• 3 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
• 2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
• 1 1/4 cups plain dried bread crumbs
DIRECTIONS
1. Cut each chicken breast lengthwise into 1/2-inch-wide strips and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Fold the chicken strips slightly and weave them onto the skewers.
2. Prepare a charcoal fire or set a gas grill to medium-high, close the lid, and heat until hot -- about
10 to 15 minutes.
3. In a small bowl, stir together the oil and the barbecue sauce. Spread the bread crumbs on a
sheet of waxed paper. Lightly brush the sauce mixture over the chicken strips and then roll them in the bread crumbs.
4. Grill the chicken fingers uncovered until they're no longer pink inside, about 2 to 4 minutes per side on a gas grill.
5. Serve with the dipping sauce of your choice. Serves 6 to 8.

If you are looking for a Green Earth
friendly pot, then the 4” Bio pots are perfect
for you. The 4” bio pots are 4.25” in height,
width is 4.5 and they are 4.0” deep. These
containers have a small ribbed design and
are packed 96. They also come in a variety of
colors such as Light Green, Black, Light Blue,
Red, Tan and Green.
The recycled materials that make this
a biodegradable pot are bamboo fibers, stone
powder and just a pinch of resin to keep the
material together. These pots will degrade
in about three to five years if left exposed to
outside weather conditions.
These green earth friendly pots are
not just for the use of dish gardens. There are
several other ways you can use this container. You can plant up to three 10”stalks of
lucky bamboo in the 4” bio pot featured. Also
instead of using rocks, why not try the water
beads. They are inexpensive and they add a
little something to the bamboo arrangement.

“drop in” for a 4”orchid plant or why not use
it to plant up a beautiful floral arrangement. It
