When planning your Christmas

annual Alternative Christmas Market
on Sunday, December 4 -- THE place to
purchase gifts of service that will both
thrill people on Christmas morning and
serve people in our community.
Organizations like Arkansas Rice
Depot, 7 Hills Homeless Center,
Community Block Party, Delta
Transitional Home and many others
will be on hand to tell you about their
services and show how YOU can be a
part of making life a little better for
those they serve.
CHRISTMAS MUSICAL
All singers are invited to join the
Celebration Choir in preparing for the
Christmas musical to be presented at
the 8:30 and 11:00 Worship
Celebrations Sunday, December 11.
Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings
from 7:00 to 7:30 from now through
December 7.

HOLY LAND PILGRIMAGE 2012
Walk in the footsteps of Jesus and visit
the Holy Land. Rev. Judy Van Hoose will
lead a group from First Church to Israel
March 19 - 29, 2012. This 10-day
journey is open to all who want to see
the actual places Jesus walked and
taught. The cost of the trip is $3000 and
includes airfare, hotels, bus
transportation in Israel, and two meals a

WELCOME TO FIRST CHURCH! We are a people of open hearts, open minds and
open doors. We hope you feel a genuine welcome from our congregation today.
Each Sunday we offer three diverse styles of worship at 8:30, 9:45, and 11:00. Please
complete the attached Connect Card and place it in the offering plate. Thank you
for worshipping with us.
HOLY COMMUNION - At the close of the 8:30 and 11:00 service, Holy Communion
will be celebrated at the front of the Sanctuary for those who desire to receive.
CHILDCARE FOR INFANTS AND TODDLERS, ages birth to four, is available for all
church activities, including worship and Sunday school. Childcare nurseries are
located in the main hallway outside the Atrium.
SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASSES for children ages two through pre-kindergarten begin
at 9:45 in the Kimbrough Building. Kids Worship for children in kindergarten
through fifth grade check-in at 9:30 in "The Reef" located in the West Lobby.
Crossroads Youth Worship for grades six through twelve begins at 9:45 in the
WhereHouse.
This new group meets Monday
evenings at 6 p.m. in Room W114.

Renovations of Christopher's House
have begun. If you would like to offer
hands-on help in renovating the house
at 402 N. Main, join us for one of three
workdays. These will be on Saturdays,
November 5, 12, and 19. The times will
be from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and we
need 15 people each week. You can sign

We don't know yet what exact work will
be done on what week. However, we
assume the lighter less skilled work will
be closer to the end. So, come with an
open heart to pitch in however you are
