A Collaborative Divorce Intensive
Effective Aftercare and Monitoring in Relapse Prevention
Wendy Kimball from RecoveryAssurance (also of REACH EAP) and Gina Thorne
from the Farley Center at Williamsburg Place will facilitate discussion about
relapse prevention with an emphasis on the value of a structured aftercare
monitoring program such as RecoveryAssurance. This workshop will introduce
participants to RecoveryAssurance and structured aftercare monitoring programs
available to everyone not just impaired professionals. Participants will be able to
recognize effective relapse prevention tools, learn about the structure of and the
role of monitoring and advocacy as part of a continuing care program and better
understand how collaboration among treatment providers, family members,
employers and recovering individuals through monitoring and advocacy can help
to prevent relapse.
A Collaborative Divorce Intensive: Understanding What Collaboration
Divorce Can Do For Your Practice and Your Clients
Dr. Tina Lepage, a licensed psychologist specializing in families and divorce,
Deborah Throm or Laura Irwin, a family law and alternative dispute resolution
attorney and Philip Rusnak, the founder of Divorce Settlement Solutions will
present and facilitate discussion on Collaborative Divorce. The Collaborative
Divorce process is the first divorce process to focus on protecting the well-being,
dignity and emotions of the family as a whole throughout a divorce. With a
divorce rate of 50%, EA Professionals work with people who are being affected
by divorce on a daily basis. This workshop will introduce participants to
Collaborative Divorce, and the role of the attorney, mental health professional
and financial analyst in Collaborative Divorce. Participants will be better able to
serve their clients by becoming a resource to inform and educate their clients
about this new kinder, gentle way to divorce and to learn to practice as coaches
and child specialist in collaborative divorce.
