2017 TREE PROGRAM
THE DISTRICT’S NURSERY STOCK ORDER
• The District is offering 26 tree species from two nurseries in Minnesota and Michigan.
• Note the size of the nursery stock on the tree order form. Evergreen stock varies in height, most are 4-5 years old indicated
by the 2-2 (2 years in seedbed, 2 years in transplant bed).
TREE ORDERING
• Tree orders are on a first come, first served basis. Order early to reserve your desired trees. If orders exceed our supply, we
will order more if nursery supplies are available.
• NO order confirmations will be sent. If we cannot fill your order we will call you.
• DO NOT SEND PAYMENT with your order. You will pay for your trees at pick-up. If a check is inadvertently sent, it will be held
until the order is picked up.
• Trees must be ordered in bundles of 25 per species (i.e. 25 Plum, 75 White Pine, etc.)
• Orders can be adjusted up to two weeks prior to delivery. NO adjustments will be made at time of pick-up.
TREE PICK-UP
• If weather permits, trees are scheduled to arrive the week of April 17th, 2017.
• You will receive a mailing a week prior to pick-up, with the time and location information.
• WE HAVE RELOCATED this year, to the Wright County Public Works, Shed A (brown), Hwy 25 and Cty Rd 138.
• Full payment is expected at the time of pick-up.
• No receipts will be issued unless specifically requested.
• Trees are dipped in absorbent gel to protect the roots from drying out. They keep fairly well up to a week if kept cool and
sprinkled (not soaked) with water every couple of days. DO NOT STAND THEM IN WATER, THEY WILL ROT.
TREE PLANTER
The rental rate is $100/day or $50/half day +tax. Planter recommended ONLY if planting 300 trees or more. If interested in
reserving the planter, contact Eric, Wright SWCD, at 763-682-1970.
DONATIONS
We will donate up to 500 trees (100/donation) to be planted on public land. This could be a public service project for Boy Scouts,
Girl Scouts, 4-H groups etc.
