The minutes of mating held 15th November and meetings held on
20th and 25th November,respectively,were read and,on the motion of
Councillor Iliner i seconded by Councillor Holtby,it was resolved, that
these minutes be adopted as read.
By-Law No.266.Deep Drain Const
ion
It was moved by Councillor Holtby,seconded by
Councillor Hayward, and resolved,that By-Law No 266 be, and it was,
read for the Third time and adopted.
Sundry correspondence
The Town Clerk was directed to write to
a delinquent floor space ratepayer asking for prompt settlement to
avoid proceedings.
Th.:, Town Clerk was directed to write to
Regina in the matter of investing surplus from Town funds pending
the necessity for using the same. for ex,oenditure,later.
New Pump for Fire Hall Well

It was moved by Councillor Howell,
seconded by Councillor Miner,and resolved,that the Water Committee
be authoreid to obtain new pump and jack for Town Hall Well.
Eclectic Club Delegation
Messrs Derby,Bellward and Fallows attended
the meeting representing the Eclectic Club.
The Chairman of
the delegation,YY Derby,stated that sufficient water could not be
obtained to make the skatin,: rink available both for afternoon and
evening users and he was afraid that the children would not be able
to have the use of the rink in the afternoon unless more water was
obtainable as the ice could not be property flooded for the evening.
He asked the help of the Council for a more plentiful supply of water.
After some discussion,during which the Council expressed its wish
that,on no account,sh)uld the children be debarred from the use of
the rink,it was moved by Councillor Howell,seconded by Councillor
Jones,and resolved,that the water Committee endeavour to provide
axmaxxxla as plentiful a supply of water as was practiwable for the
flooding of the rink subject to the condition that the children
areg given all possible consideration and opportunity to avail
themselves of the use of the rink for some portion of the day.
It was moved by Councillor Howell,seconded by Councillor Hayward
and resolved,that the following accounts be pased,and directed
to be paid.
