However, the effective conversion of known and proven technologies help to improve the problem understanding substantially and besides to minimise costs for the product development and also design of the plant. And what deals CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) with it? CFD awakens ideas, CFD reveals, CFD prevents mistakes. Modern CFD programmes permit the simulation and analysis of flows on the computer. The computer-supported analysis technology enables to examine the dynamic of flowing media and provides a computer model which represents the examined conditions of an installation. The special strength of CFD simulations lies in the fact that experiments, which are practicable in reality only with high effort, can be limited to the most necessary and optimum solutions of the problem statement are possible with a minimum of effort. Also Intensiv-Filter, a leading manufacturer of filter plants for the cement industry, avails itself of CFD-simulations. Because of the way the system operates, high exhaust gas amounts to be cleaned are typical for the cement production. Therefore bag filters are basically installed for the dust removal. Only they are able to keep with the increased legal emission limit values under all conditions. Beside low investment costs and maintenance costs the filter plants must also contribute to the increase of energy efficiency. Exhaust gas amounts from 1 or 0.5 million m3/h n.c are cleaned at cement mills as well as cooler and bypass; even to 2 million m3/h n.c for the kiln / raw mill dust removal. Improvements which lead to a reduction of the pressure loss play an important role in this regard. Also IntensivFilter presented itself successfully for the POWTECH 2010. The raised investment readiness was considerably perceptible on the exhibition stand and in the conversations. As a new innovation the ProJet smart® was issued, the new with ProTex energy savings filter media equipped compact filters. With the objective of process optimisation, reduction in costs and economic efficiency the dust removal specialist has developed an optimised compact filter which is tailored to respective applications. Equipped with fitted fan and silencer as well as accompanying cleaning control system, these new compact filters are the quickly available and inexpensive dust removal solution. The ProJet smart® is conceived as a compact filter with dust collection hopper or bunker filter with optional bypass flap modular design. It is based on four filter heads which are combined with four lengths of filter bags. Filter surfaces between 20 and 140 m² can be realised with this system. This corresponds to an air flow range of 1,000 to 17,000 m³/h. Due to the reduction of the pressure losses by the used ProTex filter medium, the operating expenses of filter plants of Intensiv-Filter can be lowered up to 40% compared to conventional bag filters. With the very keen interest of the visitors, Intensiv-Filter sees the confirmation for their product politics oriented in the market. Many conversations led in concrete proposals whose conversion was also timed on the fair. After this resonance Intensiv-Filter will be represented again on the next POWTECH: From October 11 to 13, 2011 in Nuremberg. New CIP filter for the spray-drying plant Sloten Since 1958 the Dutch company SLOTEN B.V. produces and sells breeding products for land-economic young animals. The spraydrying plant to which all raw materials are delivered liquidly and after pasteurisation, homogenisation and spray-drying are processed to protein-fat concentrates is located in the city of the same name. Sloten is one of the few companies in the world that uses spray-drying technology for the exclusive production of animal feed ingredients.. Intensiv-Filter received the order for the delivery of new CIP filters (Cleaning-InPlace) for three spray dryers The CIP filters are laid out 3 for 67,000 m /h respectively 3 twice for 120,000 m /h each. The commissioning of the product filters will be carried out at the beginning of November, 2010 Internship in the „Technikum“ The new project of the federal ministry of education and research has the aim to inspire young people for a technical physical-scientific study. The industry in this country – from the investment construction up to the solar technology – is depended on graduates of the fields mathematics, informatics, natural sciences and engineer's sciences or technology (MINT). New advertising appearance There are some extras going along with the Technikum-internship: Training period companies and universities co-operate for the period of the internship. The universities can invite the Technikum-participants for example to lectures and excursions or support them during their training period. In parallel she or he gets to know courses of MINTstudies in co-operating universities. The advertising appearance of Intensiv-Filter has changed. „Less technology – more emotion“ was the motto for the design of the new advertisement of Intensiv-Filter. Also Intensiv-Filter gives to young people after their graduation the opportunity to collect practical experiences in a technical company. The trainees contribute on special projects for five to eight months at Intensiv-Filte. For training period of the Technikum-internship we cooperate with the university of Wuppertal. With the new slogan „Cut operating costs“ and the outstretched hands, the advantages of the use by Three E and ProTex are underlined. The new advertising campaign demonstrates that the customer can lower the operating costs of his bag filter plant alone by the choice of the right technology and the right filter media. Figures, dates, facts Three high-school graduates have already begun with their training period at Intensiv-Filter. „We want to use the time between school and study reasonable and collect practical experiences in a technical-scientific field which we can integrate in the later choice of the course of studies. Additionally, we get to know the daily work routine and can make a better decision on which professional sector fits to our interests and abilities“, according to the trainees in unison. With the production of lead from ores and scrap metal above all dust containing of lead is released. Depending on aerial relations the dust load amounts in companies equipped according to the state of the technology between 340 and 1,160 g of dust of lead/t of produced lead. The dust of lead consists of lead from 30 to 55%, the rest are varying shares of zinc, copper cadmium, antimony and arsenic.
