BSVC believes that all players who strive for excellence in the classroom and on the
volleyball court should have the opportunity to achieve their goals regardless of socioeconomic status. This translates to: We don’t want a lack of finances to be what keeps
you out of club volleyball. BSVC offers financial assistance to families through a need
based priority system. All scholarships are issued for the current season only.
Athletes should prepare one typewritten, well thought out paragraph on each of the
following questions:

Outside of volleyball, what is your greatest accomplishment? Why?

What is your cumulative GPA? Please include your most recent report card or a
current transcript from your school.

Please submit a copy of your parent(s) past two tax returns.
Participants must volunteer to work existing fund raising activities sponsored by
BSVC; this includes working extra hours our tournaments.

Submissions need to be received or postmarked by March 11, 2011. Scholarship winners
will be notified by March 18, 2011.
All applications are reviewed by the Board of Directors and Club Director. The number
of scholarships granted and the amounts funded are determined by the BOD based need
and available funds. Every effort will be made to give fair and equal treatment to all club
member applicants. Scholarship applicant information will be kept in the strictest
confidence.
Receiving financial assistance from BSVC does not guarantee a spot on any of our teams.
If an athlete is selected to a team and does not finish the season for any reason, the
responsible party for the athlete will be responsible for paying remaining fees, including
reimbursing the full scholarship amount.
