participating post-secondary institution upon the recommendation of the student’s Principal and Superintendent and in accordance with
Alabama Administrative Code 290-8-9-.17 regarding gifted and talented students.)
The student must have a 3.0 GPA to apply for Dual Enrollment/Dual Credit. A student who has an overall 2.5 GPA may enroll in career
technical programs. The college may use its discretion and enroll students who have a GPA less than 2.5, but no lower than 2.0, after a

(Southern Association of Colleges and Schools) standards. No partial credit shall be accepted for any core course. Transportation related
to dual enrollment/dual credit course participation is the responsibility of the parent. Students may enroll in approved courses during
school hours, after school hours, and during summer terms. When participation necessitates off campus attendance during school hours,
it is the responsibility of the student to follow established check in/check out procedures at the local school. Students are responsible for
knowing policies relative to dual enrollment/dual credit of colleges/universities to which they plan to transfer credit. For graduating
seniors, it is the responsibility of the parent/student to ensure that the official report of grades earned under the dual credit program are
