Restoration under way at Madison condominiums
FGS The Restoration Company is restoring four units
at a Madison condominium complex following a burst
pipe in February. FGS originally handled mitigation
work, with a significant amount of demolition,
including the removal of flooring and drywall to speed
up the drying process. Now, FGS is replacing flooring,
carpeting and drywall and doing some painting, with
an anticipated completion date of April 15.

Burst Pipe in Madison
• Spring thaw
FGS assisted a Madison man whose house was
damaged by a burst pipe in January. Using its
high-powered dryers, FGS removed water from
multiple rooms, and the man’s house was back
to normal in only three weeks.
Kitchen Fire in Rochester
FGS is assisting a Rochester couple whose house was damaged by
a fire in their kitchen in February. An FGS crew cleaned the kitchen,
then cleaned the carpeting around the kitchen and painted the
kitchen walls to remove smoke damage. FGS is now replacing burnt
cabinets and countertops, with an anticipated completion date of
April 20.

FGS is holding an American Red Cross blood drive on
March 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at its Madison headquarters.
The goal is to collect 25 pints of blood. Donors of all
blood types are needed, especially those with O positive,
O negative, B negative and A negative. The Red Cross
must collect 15,000 pints of blood every day to meet the
needs of patients at about 2,700 hospitals and transfusion
centers across the country, including 46 in Wisconsin. And
red blood cells have a shelf life of only 42 days, so the
blood supply needs to be constantly replenished. To make
an appointment to donate, please contact WMC Accounts
Payable Specialist Mandi Ertel at 608-284-4660 (Ext. 244) or
[email protected].
