including twice in Alan Truscott’s column in the NY Times and recently in
Frank Stewart’s nationally-syndicated
column. Andy is now a Silver Life Master and teaches bridge at all levels. He firmly believes that a
strong knowledge of the fundamentals of bridge is more important than learning and concentrating on conventions
which require more memory but do not occur very often.

Robert Todd is all over the country
and the world playing and teaching
bridge.
In 2010 Robert founded Adventures in
Bridge, Inc., a group of young talented
bridge players with whom he teaches
and promotes the game. He teaches in person and online,
plays with students from club games to world championships, hosts cruises and destination seminars, and
writes for various publications. Robert has twice finished
in the top 20 of the Barry Crane list, winning over 1500
masterpoints each of those years, and won the inaugural
0-10,000 Knockout Teams (“Mini-Vanderbilt”) at the Dallas NABC.

Miami - Eastern Caribbean - Miami
March 29 - April 8, 2017 (10 nights) • Regent Seven Seas Mariner
Mar. 29 - Embark Miami, Arrive early and enjoy the bustling nightlife,
gorgeous beaches, museums, and fabulous shopping. Celebrity-drenched
South Beach attracts people-watchers and the Art Deco District is the
largest collection of Art Deco architecture in the world.
Apr. 4 - Gustavia, St. Barts. St. Barts is where Riviera chic meets
Caribbean cool. Day-trippers come from nearby islands for the duty-free
shopping, excellent dining and to lounge on the soft, white sands in a secluded palm-fringed cove.
Mar. 30 and 31 - at sea.
Apr. 5 - San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rico's first inhabitants were
the Taino Indians, who encountered
Columbus in 1493. The Spanish
quickly settled, defending their territory against the Dutch and British.
This is evident by the imposing
fortresses of Old San Juan, El Morro
Castle,
Apr. 1 - Tortola, British Virgin Islands. Swim at famed Cane Bay Garden Beach, hike the island’s rainforest or enjoy a scenic drive around this
lush island. Swim with dolphins, go sea kayaking. Take home charming
local crafts, straw items, artwork and resort wear.
Apr. 2 - St. John’s, Antigua. Touting 365 beaches, most protected by
coral reefs; a ring of forts; and quaint Colonial architecture, Antigua, and
particularly St. John’s, is a classic example of the British Caribbean. Visit
St. John’s Cathedral, destroyed by earthquakes and rebuilt on the same
spot at least three times, the last time in 1845; and the Museum of Antigua & Barbuda, which, in addition to island history, also offers a fascinating exhibition of semiprecious stones.
Apr. 3 - Castries, St. Lucia. Castries is the capital, commercial center and
main cruise port of St Lucia. Founded by the French in about 1768, it
changed hands in the earlier 1800’s, when the British made the town a
major naval port and built fortifications overlooking the harbor. Today,
the port offers something for everyone. Bargain hunters can head over to
the duty-free shops at Pointe Seraphine and Castries Waterworks Forest
Reserve allows visitors a rare glimpse of rain forest flora and fauna.
Apr. 6 - at sea.
Apr. 7 - Nassau, Bahamas. The
heritage of Old Nassau blends the
Southern charm of British loyalists from the Carolinas, the African tribal
traditions of freed slaves, and a bawdy history of blockade-running during the Civil War and rum-running in the Roaring 1920s. Over it all is a
subtle layer of civility and sophistication, derived from three centuries of
British rule.
Apr. 8 - Disembark Miami, FL.
