A message from Coach Katie:
This week we had a few alumni PSC swimmers come to visit
for the holiday! Erica Norton, Alex Divelbiss, and Clay
Denney all swim for Adams State University in Alamosa, CO.
Derek Wedel swims for California Baptist in Riverside, CA.
And Nicole Wedel is a masters swimmer living in Phoenix,
AZ. It was fun to have them all back where they started for
a few days!

I am reminded how swimming is such a huge part of our
lives! It is a sport that can be enjoyed for many years. Often
times, kids start when they are young and then continue on
through high school. There are a few who are able to go on
to swim in college. After that, you may think that your time
in the pool is over, but you begin to miss it because it
becomes a part of you! I’ve been around the sport for a
long time; as a swimmer and now as a coach. Swimming
takes a lot of time and dedication in order to be great.
However, when you look back, you realize how valuable it
is. You learn responsibility, respect, time management, and
what it means to work hard. Lifelong friendships are made
and a special bond is formed between you and your
coaches. Swimming is my passion and I love that I am able
to spend every day doing what I love! There is nothing like
watching kids fall in love with a sport that has meant so
much to me! I’m so thankful for swimming and getting to
work with all of the wonderful kids and coaches on PSC!
