Passover Seder preparations are being made for Good Friday,
April 14! Would you like to be a table host/hostess or a
participant?
Everyone must sign up in advance in order to attend.
Although there is no charge to attend, you will be asked to bring something to the table.
We will gather at 5:30 p.m. in the Cornerstone building for our Good Friday celebration. Starting
at 6:00 p.m. sharp, Brandon Ridley will be walking us through a Passover Seder, which will flow
directly into a short worship service in the worship center, which will conclude at 8:00 p.m.
See the list of options to bring in the Cornerstone Café through April 9. Susan Booker will be
waiting to take your name! Or you may email her at [email protected].

Before we start work, please join us for coffee and donuts at 8:00 a.m.
We will discuss the areas that need attention and will finish by noon. If
you have any questions, please contact Mike Erhardt.
Simple Suppers -- Awana parents and church family are invited to
come, relax, and enjoy a great meal on Wednesday evenings. Dinner will
be served from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Cornerstone Building
Fellowship Hall. Suggested donations are: adults $4.00 and children
$2.00 (max of $11 per family).

mornings after church and preceding Sunday school..
The Coffee (hot or iced), cocoa, variety of teas, and homemade pastries are available
for a donation to our youth, worship, and café ministries. The results of these
donations (after expenses) go to fund their ministry projects.
So please be generous. Then enjoy the food, drink, and fellowship.
All-Church Prayer Meeting Cancelled. The monthly All-Church Prayer/Worship night scheduled for
April 7 has been cancelled. We will resume our regular schedule beginning Friday, May 5.
SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK BBC SUMMER CAMPOUT - HEADS-UP!
Once again Beach Bible Church has reserved two large group camp sites for a week of fellowship at Dorst
Creek Campground in Sequoia National Park.
In general, the basic idea behind the church camping experience is simple. The church is responsible for
making the reservations for the group sites and campers are responsible for their own transportation,
food, gear, activities, and park entrance fee.
When - Monday, August 14 to Sunday, August 20, 2017.
Cost - $13 per person for the entire week.
Other things to be aware of:

The sites are unimproved.

Between the two sites we have a total capacity of about 85 people.

No more than 2 RVs/trailers can be accommodated at each group site.

The church has a limited supply of tents and stoves that can be loaned out if requested.

If individuals or families would like to group together for meals, they are free to do so, but it will be
up to them to organize that themselves.

This year there will be lots of water in the creeks and waterfalls!

Book Club Meeting
At our next book club meeting, which will be in May, we will be discussing the book
The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh.

Orange County Rescue Mission Food Drive
The headlines on one of the articles in the OC Register this week were “O.C. Rescue Mission urgently
requests donations of food.”
Beach Bible Church has faithfully supported the work of OCRM for many years and this seems like a time
when we can give an extra boost. The missions Committee asks that food donations be brought each
Sunday during Lent (meaning we have only April 9 left to fulfill this request.)
Suggestions:

5 ounce cans of meat

15 ounce cans of soup, vegetables, fruit and beans

18 ounce jars of peanut butter

24 ounce cans of spaghetti sauce.
Boxed or bagged food:

6 ounce boxes of rice and mashed potatoes

7.5 ounce boxes of macaroni and cheese

15 ounce bags of dry pasta
And the King said, “Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my
brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
PASTOR’S POINTS
Dear Church Family,
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
“Easy for you to say. You don’t know what I’m going through. If you were in my shoes you might
reconsider rejoicing.” Nothing is more annoying than someone who tries to rain sunshine on a dark
situation and minimizes the suffering we might be experiencing. It can be insensitive and insulting.
Unless--unless that person can relate on a personal level.
Paul certainly has the experience to make such a bold statement. Notice the emphasis he puts on
“Always.” So why is Paul so credible and what is the key to a life full of joy?
You tired of the same old same old? Do you want more joy in your life? Do you know anyone else
who wants the same? Well you are in good company. Reach out and invite a friend to come and join
us on Sunday mornings at BBC. Especially with Easter coming up on April 16. We will see you
soon.
