MIXTURE SPECIFICATIONS
Primary Standards: Primary Standards should be used when the application requires the highest mixture accuracy
and reliability. Theses mixtures are prepared gravimetrically on high precision electronic balances. The mixtures are
then analyzed using SRM’s, NTRM’s or Linde Precision Lab Standards.
Unanalyzed: Unanalyzed mixtures are prepared using the same techniques as certified mixtures, but are not checked
analytically.

Certified Standards: Certified Standards are the most widely used calibration mixtures. Applications for these
standards include, laboratory instrumentation calibration, biological and medical studies, chemical process industries
and on environmental control measurements. These mixtures are prepared using either gravimetric, volumetric or
partial pressure techniques. Cylinder concentration is named using a variety of analytical methods.
