Recognizing the motivation and potential you have already shown, the Culinary Institute of Virginia has a scholarship opportunity especially for you. Qualified Applicants will receive a $2,000 non-renewable Scholarship to the Culinary Institute of Virginia! To qualify you must: ● Be an active participant of ProStart,® C-CAP, SkillsUSA or FCCLA for at least one academic year, or, have completed one academic year of culinary classes in high school. ● Submit a completed scholarship application (see reverse) and essay. Your essay should be based on one of the following two topics, and should be approximately 500 words in length: Selection 1: Describe your favorite restaurant. What makes eating there a good experience? Evaluate the customer service, the menu, the quality of the food, the presentation of the food and what makes the customer want to return. Selection 2: What is the difference between a good cook and a chef? Which one will you be and why? Describe your favorite meal to cook and what makes it special. ● Complete an Enrollment Application to the Culinary Institute of Virginia, with an expected start date in the Fall of 2015.
