 Preparation Intake Accommodation
 Stable housing for people to address drug/alcohol issues
 Provided by ARA and The Salvation Army (Bridge)

 For clients stable on a substitute prescription
 Provided by ARA and The Junction
 Length of stay = 6 months

 i) Clients stable on a substitute prescription with a detox
plan in place and abstinent from all problematic
drugs/alcohol
 ii) Clients totally abstinent from substitute prescribing,
alcohol and non-prescribed drugs
 Provided by ARA and The Junction
 Length of stay = 12 months

 Abstinent Accommodation
 Clients must be 28 days abstinent from all substitute
prescribing, alcohol and non-prescribed drugs
 Must have completed a treatment programme
 Focus on preparing for independent living
 Shared and self-contained accommodation available
 Provided by ARA and The Junction
 Length of stay = 6 months

 Resettlement and tenancy sustainment service
 Must have a recent history of drug/alcohol use
 Can support people moving into or already in their own
accommodation and moving on from ARA housing
 Provided by ARA only
 Length of service = 12 months

ARA Prison Resettlement Service
 Funded by AWP - 2 workers based at Horfield Prison
and in the community, also starting at Eastwood Park
 Clients referred by the substance misuse team
 Works with client for 1 month prior to release and 1
month after
 Identifies housing need and makes referrals to
housing providers/floating support
 Meets at the gate on release
 Supports with benefits/finances, registering with GP,
attending appointments, liaising with other agencies
