Registrations open for Latin America’s biggest women’s race Third edition of “McDonald’s 5K – Women Run” The event will take place in October and registrations can be made at www.5kmcdonalds.com “McDonald’s 5K – Women Run,” in its third edition this year, is expected to draw 75,000 participants from all over Latin America. The event will take place October 19, 20 and 27 in 19 cities across the region. “McDonald’s is a champion of sporting activities and healthy lifestyles. The race provides women with a great opportunity to take to the streets with their families and friends to enjoy a different experience while engaging in physical activity,” said David Grinberg, Arcos Dorados sports marketing manager. Women wishing to take part in the run can sign up at www.5kmcdonalds.com. The cost for registering varies from country to country. In some locations, part of the entry‐fee proceeds will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Charities. The biggest women’s run in Latin America After drawing more than 60,000 women in 2012, “McDonald’s 5K – Women Run” is even bigger this year. A new city has joined the initiative, whose goal is to encourage women to take up sports while providing the whole family with a different experience. With the addition of Curitiba (Brazil), the number of expected participants has risen to 75,000, which further attests to the recognition of the event as the largest women’s run in the region. “The initiative fosters a healthy lifestyle, and by expanding to new locations it will benefit even more people.
