Items brought forth at a meeting NOT on the agenda will be tabled for discussion at the next PAC meeting. The PAC meeting is NOT the location to discuss individual school personnel, students, parents, or other individual members of the school community 1. ADOPT AGENDA Lori adopts agenda and Dionne seconds for the adoption of the agenda 2. ADOPTION OF MEETING MINUTES FROM TUESDAY, May 13th, 2014 GENERAL PAC MEETING - Scott adopts minutes and Lori seconds to adopt the Minutes from the last meeting. 3. PRINCIPAL’S REPORT presented by Jan Minty: 1. Thank You to Last Year’s PAC Executive and Volunteer Parents 2. Staffing/ Enrollment (cap of 375) 3. New Initiatives for Student Achievement 4. Staff Professional Development Focus for 2014-2015: a. Drama b. Movement 5. Parent Requests March- May, 2014 6. Arts Starts Grant: Canada 7. Miss Lee: Ghostbusters/ Thriller 8. Fundraising for Theme Costuming: Halloween Family Dance, Thursday, October 23, 6:30-8:30 p.m. a. Entry Fee for Families (single ticket: $5, Groups of 3-$10, Groups of 4-$15, Over 4, $ 15 plus $3 for each additional member) b. Concession by PAC c. Halloween Family Pictures d. D.J. Volunteer 10. What’s Happening on September/ October/ November/ December Terry Fox Run- TBA (Encourage every child to donate a loonie to reach goal of $350.00) Red and White Spirit Day Primary Run in the A.M./ Intermediate Rain or Shine in P.m. Non-Instructional Day -September 19 School Individual Photos- October 6, 2014 Interim Reports –Dependent upon the end to the strike Remembrance Day Assembly: Monday, November 10 @ 9:15 a.m. 4. Voting on executive positions: Anyone who takes an executive position MUST provide their full name, birthdate, address and phone number for our taxes. If you are unable or unwilling to do so please do not volunteer for an executive position. You also must have your criminal record check done. No person may hold more than one elected executive position at any one time. Descriptions of Elected positions were read out President or Co Chairs: Tami Beemish and Bonnie have been voted in as Co Chairs Vice President: is not needed as we have Co Chairs Treasurer: Abigail Shakespeare has been voted in as Treasurer Secretary: Rebecca Falk has been voted in as Secretary DPAC Rep: Dionne Hairsine, Vikki Self have been voted in as DPAC Reps Members at Large: Teena Smith, Leesa Friesen, Melissa Trellert, Laura Teigen, Stephanie Stenerson have been voted in as Members at Large Scott Young motions that Jan Minty destroys all ballots. All in favour, carried. 5.
