Marysville Early College High School Ohio Hi-Point Satellite Program Information Technology We do IT better! Students enrolled in the Ohio Hi-Point Information Technology satellite program at Marysville ECHS will be prepared for careers in interactive media and/or programming and software development. Through interactive media courses, students will gain the necessary technical and academic skills to create, design and produce interactive media produtcs and services for business (audio/video commercials), training, entertainment, communications and marketing. Programming courses will prepare students for careers using technical and academic skills to design, develop, test, document, implement and maintain computer software and database systems. With the opportunities available to earn certifications and college credit, students have a jumpstart on their futures and will be in advance standing with colleges and universities. Students compete at the local, regional, state and national levels in our career-technical student organizations (SkillsUSA, HOSA, BPA, FCCLA, FFA, EdRising and DECA). • Career Technical Education provided through Ohio Hi-Point Career Center whether on the main campus or through a satellite program provides: • Value-added education by giving students between 450 and 900 hours of career training. • Real-world learning through job shadowing, interships and apprenticeships. • College credits that connect career pathways to higher education. • Employability skills, including job-related skills and workplace ethics. • Adult Education for additional training and degrees, especially related to workplace training, skills upgrades and career advancement. • Ohio Hi-Point Career Center has many satellite programs within the district’s partner schools to bring career techical education closer to students.
