Yes The product is manufactured using a nominal 1/4" to 3/8" inch rubber granule which creates a highly porous material due to the “open-pore” design. Porous Pave has approximately 29% void space making it one of the most porous surfacing products on the market. Do freeze-thaw cycle conditions affect the integrity of Porous Pave? No It is like one large and continuous expansion and contraction joint - due to the elastic properties of the urethane and the compression capabilities of rubber, the pressure that is exerted by freezing water does not interfere with the mechanical strength of Porous Pave. Does Porous Pave have a lingering odour? No Only at initial installation there is a slight odour similar to a new carpet smell that takes a few days to go away.
