Colleges Have Resources to Help
Many colleges offer Native American students discounted housing,
tuition, fees, books and supplies or may not charge them at all.
Contact the colleges you are interested in to see if you qualify.
You may have to provide documentation of your Native American
ethnicity or Tribal Membership Information, but the money you save
is well worth it.
Tribes Offer Money for College
As a Native American student, you have dozens of scholarship
and grant programs worth millions of dollars available to you every year.
Many of these scholarships and grants are based on your ethnicity
and heritage and require you to register with your tribe. If you are
descended from multiple tribes you may be able to receive benefits
from each.
The following pages have tribal contact information and helpful websites.
Check with your tribe(s) to find out what programs are available and what
steps you need to take to get money to help pay for college.
