The inlingua Method
inlingua is a world-wide language training organisation with
over 300 language schools in 40 different countries. The
inlingua School of Languages has been operating in
Singapore since 1972, and offers:
The inlingua method teaches you to
communicate in the target language from the
very first lesson. You learn the new language
quickly, by being encouraged to use it, and
naturally because your teacher is a nativespeaker. You are taught the 4 skills of listening,
speaking, reading and writing, but the inlingua
method places most emphasis on speaking.

General Purposes
Business Purposes
These courses are available in any of the languages
offered by our school. They are designed to teach you
general communication skills.
If you need to improve your business language
skills, you may consider enrolling for a business
language course. These courses are available in
most of the languages taught at inlingua School
of Languages.
You learn, practise, and gain confidence in using new
structures, patterns and expressions in the target
language. You are taught to function effectively in a
variety of situations such as:







Corporate Training
Over the years, inlingua School of Languages has
built a long list of company clients who have used
our services for corporate training.
Exam Preparation
Training is usually conducted on our premises but
may be arranged on yours for an additional fee.
inlingua School of Languages can help you prepare for
the TOEFL, IELTS, TestDaF, FCE, CAE or CPE,
English examinations, the JLPT Japanese examinations
and the TOPIK Korean examinations.
The programmes are for closed groups and they
can focus on general or specific purposes.
Examination preparation courses are given in group or
individual tuition.
Preparatory courses for the IELTS examination are
offered on a full-time and part-time basis.
Some of the most popular business modules
include: In-Flight Announcement for Cabin Crews,
Presentation Skills, Tactical Business Writing,
Effective Report Writing, 21st Century
Communication Skills, and Hokkien, Mandarin
and Malay for Healthcare Professionals.
Courses can also be customised to your needs
with tailor-made solutions developed by our
Academic Department.
Young Learners
Group Tuition
If you are from overseas and want your children to enter
a Singapore Government school, you may first wish to
send them to our school to study English full-time, to
bring their English up to the required primary or
secondary school entry level.
Depending on the course you enrol for, there is a
minimum of 4 and a maximum of 12 or 15
students in a group.
Also, at different times of the year, we offer courses for
juniors (aged 7 – 12) as well as for teenagers, to
coincide with your children’s regular school holiday
breaks.
There are two programmes for full-time courses:
We run courses in: English, French, German, Italian,
Japanese, Korean, Russian, Spanish
The Maxi-intensive programme consists of 5
lessons per day in a group.
Closed groups of students from overseas come to
Singapore for holiday and study during the school
holiday breaks in their home countries.
The Mega-intensive programme includes 5
lessons per day in a group and 2 lessons per day
on an individual basis.
Accommodation
Individual Tuition
Accommodation can be arranged.
Individual tuition is usually on a 1:1 basis.
We can also recommend selected Hotels and Hostels
according to your requirements.
You may book a course for a closed group of 2 to
4 students to be taught together on a 2:1, 3:1 or
4:1 basis, provided all of you have the same level
of competency in the language.
Airport Transfer
The School can help students with either a one-way or
two-way airport transfer. All we need to know are the
flight details and pick up point or destination. We will
arrange a private taxi for the transfer.
Courses can be on a full-time or part-time basis.



Lessons are booked in blocks, with each lesson
lasting 50 minutes, followed by a 10-minute
break.
Lessons may be scheduled on days and at times
to suit you.
Full-time courses
Part-time courses
Full-time courses are available in English and Chinese only.
Part-time courses are available in any of the
languages offered by our school.
Classes are from Monday to Friday for a total of 25 lessons
per week.
Lessons can be from 08.00 to 13.00 or 13.00 to 18.00.
There is a progress test every 2 weeks.
All courses are available from Elementary 1 to 4,
with the exception of Korean (offered up to the
Advanced level) and English and Chinese
(offered at any level).

on Saturday mornings. Lessons can be once,
twice, three times or 5 times per week.

module comprises 20 lessons divided in 10

Individual Tuition fees
Flexible Schedule
This is for blocks of 10 lessons. Lesson times
and days can be changed on a weekly basis.
All fees are in Singapore dollars and inclusive of
7% GST. Course fees do not include the cost of
textbooks. Textbooks are separately charged at a
subsidised price of $25.00 to $70.00 (including
GST) per book regardless of the language course,
part-time course, full-time course or individual
tuition and as long as text books are required for
the course
