dietitians-nutritionistsandtheirmembers,beyondnationalandregionalboundaries,achieving:

ArticlessubmittedtoournewsletterfromMembersandfromtheBoardofDirectorscommunicate
progressonourmission.Ourmembersareprofessionalassociationsaroundtheworldinwhichatleast
65%ofthemembersareadietitian-nutritionist,meaning,aprofessionalwhoappliesthescienceoffood
andnutritiontopromotehealth,preventandtreatdiseasetooptimisethehealthofindividuals,groups,
communitiesandpopulations”andmeetstheICDAinternationaleducationstandard.
DieteticsAroundtheWorldrepresentsamajorcommunicationtoolfortheglobalcommunityof
dietitians-nutritionists.OurprimaryreadershipistheMembersofICDAandtheirmembers,whichtotal
morethan200,000dietitians-nutritionistsandotherswhoareinterestedindevelopmentsinthe
dietitian-nutritionistprofession.Membersuseittocommunicatewithothernationaldietetic
associationsandtheirmembers.Thenewsletteralsofeaturesarticlesandannouncementsofinterestto
ourreadersasreceivedfromotherfood,nutrition,andhealthorganizations.
Since2013,DieteticsAroundtheWorldhasbeenpublishedthreetimesayearinMarch,Julyand
NovemberwithsupportbeingprovidedthroughDietitiansofCanada(websitemanagement)andour
volunteereditor.Theturnaroundtimeforpublishingisapproximatelysix(6)weeksfromthearticledue
datesfoundintheGuide.AcopyoftheGuideforAuthorsandthenewslettereditor’scontactdetailsare
availableontheICDAwebsite.
