Corinne Adams
Corinne is an artist who works in
photography and mixed media. She
studied at the Atlanta College of Art
and co-founded Atlanta Celebrates
Photography, the October festival now
in its 16th year. Corinne’s work is in
the permanent collections of The Museum of Contemporary Art, GA, and
Gregg Museum of Art (NC) as well
as Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson and Los
Angeles international airports. She is
represented by Mason Murer Fine Art,
Soho Myriad, and Faulkner+Locke.
Corinne’s studio, Wing & A Prayer,
is in Buckhead. She created a small
business—C Glass Recycled Glass
Jewelry—by using the broken glass
from her car robbery to make jewelry.
Corinne also helped start a sewing
cooperative for impoverished women
in Nicaragua called Sewing Seeds.
Billy Andrade
Billy, who was born in Bristol, RI,
has played on the PGA TOUR since
1988. He graduated from Wake Forest
University in 1987. His PGA TOUR
wins include: the 1991 Kemper Open,
the 1991 Buick Classic, the 1998 Bell
Canadian Open, and the 2000 Invensys
Classic. He began competing on the
Champions Tour in 2014 and had six
Top 10 finishes (two second-place).
Along with fellow PGA golfer Brad
Faxon, Andrade runs the AndradeFaxon Charities for Children, a foundation focused on improving the lives
of at-risk children in Rhode Island and
Southeastern Massachusetts. Billy lives
in Atlanta with his wife, Jody, and two
children, Cameron and Grace.
Kate Atwood
Kate is the founder of Kate’s Club, an
Atlanta-based non-profit organization
that serves to support and empower
children and teens facing life after the
death of a parent or sibling. Having
lost her own mother at the age of 12,
Kate’s vision was to build a place for
grieving children to have fun, develop
friendships, and learn to cope with
their loss. Kate served as the organization’s executive director for six years.
Her first book, entitled A Healing
Place: Help Your Child Find Hope and
Happiness after the Loss of a Loved One,
was released by Penguin Books in
November 2009. Kate is currently the
executive director of the Arby’s Foundation, the charitable arm of Arby’s
Restaurant Group. Under Kate’s
leadership, the Foundation is carrying
out a mission focused on ending childhood hunger in America.
Andrew Aydin ‘02
Andrew is co-author of the New York
Times best-selling graphic memoir
trilogy, MARCH—with Rep. John
Lewis, illustrated by Nate Powell, and
published by Top Shelf Productions.
Andrew is a recipient of the 2014 Robert F. Kennedy Book Award Special
Recognition and the 2014 Coretta Scott
King Book Award Author Honor. He
has been nominated for two Eisner
awards and two Harvey awards,
among other honors. An Atlanta
native, Andrew currently serves as
digital director and policy advisor to
Rep. John Lewis in Washington, DC.
Following his master’s thesis on the
history and impact of the 1950s comic
book Martin Luther King & The Montgomery Story, Andrew continues to
publish and lecture about the history
of comics in the civil rights movement.
Andrew served as communications
director and press secretary during
Rep. Lewis’ 2008 and 2010 re-election
campaigns. Prior to joining Rep.
Lewis’ staff, Andrew served as district
aide to Rep. John Larson (D-CT), and
as special assistant to Connecticut Lt.
Governor Kevin Sullivan. Andrew is a
graduate of Lovett, Trinity College in
Hartford, and Georgetown University
in Washington, DC.
Jackie Burch and Brenda Pauley
Jackie is a top casting director who has
cast name movies all over the US and
Europe. She relocated from Los Angeles to the Southeast in 2008 where she
has done the local casting for some of
the most publicized movies to film in
the area, including Conspirator, Iron
Man 3, The Nice Guys, Ant-Man, and
all of the films in The Hunger Games
series. While living in LA, Jackie often
traveled to the Southeast as one of her
areas for sourcing supporting casts,
thus making her move first to North
Carolina and then to Atlanta, where
the movie business has grown, a natural transition. While still in LA, Jackie
cast multiple films including Sixteen
Candles, The Breakfast Club, Mask, Coming to America, Die Hard, and Dick Tracy.
Brenda began her career over 25 years
ago in Los Angeles as a talent agent
for Inner Vision Talent Agency. After
forming the commercial and film
department, she relocated to Atlanta
and opened the theatrical department
for Serendipity Models and Talent. In
1997, she opened the adult division of
the Talent Group and Hot Shot Kids/
Teens. Brenda, along with her partner,
discovered and placed such talent as
Dakota Fanning, Raven Simone, Kyle
Massey, and DJ Qualls. In 2002, The
Talent Group and Hot Shot Kids joined
forces with People Store, creating
People Store/Hot Shot Kids and Teens.
She remains head of the film department in the Atlanta and New Orleans
office.
Lane Carlock
Lane is an Atlanta native who has
been a recognizable face on camera
(in everything from commercials to
TV shows) for the past two decades.
Her recent TV/film credits include
hosting the syndicated Hot Topics, as
well as appearing in Powers, Complications, Necessary Roughness, Being Mary
Jane, Drop Dead Diva, and Scary Movie
5. Lane’s real passion is theatre, and
she has worked with Actors Express,
the Alliance Theatre, Horizon Theatre,
Aurora, and more. She is currently an
artistic associate at Theatrical Outfit.
Recently, Lane co-founded Nancy
Creek Productions and co-wrote the
play Moxie, which was chosen as
a recipient of the 2014 Reiser Atlanta Artist’s Lab development grant
through the Alliance Theatre and as a
recipient of the 2014 Inverness Award
for Playwriting.
Rob Cleveland
Rob is storyteller-in-residence at the
Fernbank Museum of Natural History.
His talent in storytelling likewise landed him at Emory University, where
he leads workshops for law students,
teaching them how to tell a good story.
He is also an actor and comedian who
can be seen in the films Drumline and
That Darn Cat. He lives in Atlanta with
his wife and twins.
Julie A. D’Emilio
Julie is senior vice president of sales
for Carter’s, Inc. She has spent her
entire career in the fashion industry.
Julie joined Carter’s in 2006 and was
promoted to senior vice president of
sales in 2013. Prior to joining Carter’s,
Julie worked in various management
positions at Calvin Klein Jeans, a division of The Warnaco Group, Inc. Her
roles included executive vice president
of Juniors’ and Girls, as well as vice
president of the Women’s Division.
D’Emilio began her career with Liz
Claiborne, Inc., and also worked for
London Fog Industries, Inc., and Jones
Apparel Group.
Emily Followill ‘88
Emily began her adventure in photography as a student at Lovett. After
graduating in 1988, she studied at
Sewanee, The University of the South.
Her international and national work
focuses on interior, garden, lifestyle,
and product photography. Her work
has appeared in numerous books and
publications, including: Veranda, Better
Homes and Gardens, Traditional Home,
Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, Southern
Living, and Garden and Gun. Before
entering the freelance world, Emily
managed a digital photo studio for a
national production agency.
Michael Holmes
Michael is an award-winning anchor
and correspondent for CNN International, based at the network’s
headquarters in Atlanta. Holmes
has been a journalist for nearly four
decades, reporting extensively from
all corners of the globe including Asia,
Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
He has covered news from Rwanda to
Nepal, Pakistan to Afghanistan, and
traveled 14 times to Iraq during the
war, in 2004 surviving an ambush that
killed two CNN staff. He currently
co-anchors CNN Today with Amara
Walker. Among the highlights of his
career, Holmes secured an exclusive
interview with Palestinian leader
Yasser Arafat inside his besieged
headquarters during a highly
dangerous period in the West Bank.
Ann Huff and Meg Harrington
Ann is co-owner of the hugely popular
Huff Harrington. She was raised in
Geneva, lived in France, and speaks
flawless French. She adores anything
Louis and knows the Paris flea markets like the back of her hand. Prior to
owning the gallery, Ann spent 20 years
in advertising and marketing in New
York and Boston. She has a BA in Art
History from Swarthmore College and
began her art career selling original
French art from her Atlanta home—
which happily led to Huff Harrington
Fine Art. She’s married to Bill and has
two daughters.
Meg’s love of art began when she traveled as a child with her family and visited countless art museums around the
world. A degree in French from Stetson University led to public relations
work in New York and Palm Beach.
Several years after landing in Atlanta,
a chance meeting with Ann led to Huff
Harrington Fine Art. She is married to
Scott and has two daughters.
“Souper” Jenny Levison
Jennifer Levison, known to many as
“Souper Jenny,” is the owner of the
restaurant bearing the same name. She
has received consistent praise from
the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Atlanta
magazine, Creative Loafing, and other
publications since the opening in 1998.
In 2011, she opened Cafe Jonah, a
sunny coffeehouse named for her son.
Its upstairs adjunct business, the Magical Attic, offers meditation classes,
psychic readings, and astrology
consultations, and donates 10 percent
of sales to local charities. Levison’s
philanthropy landed her in The Oprah
Magazine’s June 2012 issue. A regular
guest on NBC’s Today Show, Levison
is also the author of two books, Souper
Jenny Cooks and Souper Jenny Does Salads. Jenny has a bachelor of fine arts in
acting from Carnegie Mellon’s School
of Drama. Levison has also been a
mentor to other culinary entrepreneurs, including actor and MetoFresh
owner Mitchell Anderson. Souper
Jenny now has six Atlanta locations.
Mary Pat and Bri Matheson
As president and CEO of the Atlanta
Botanical Garden, Mary Pat directs
all operations for the 30-acre urban
garden, as well as a new 200-acre
woodland garden in Gainesville.
Under her leadership, the ABG has
expanded its facilities, displays, and
programs. Matheson was named one
of 14 Women of Excellence by Business
to Business magazine and one of 25
Power Women to Watch by Atlanta
Woman magazine in 2006. She was
named 2005 Professional of the Year
by the American Horticultural Society
and the Lexus Leader of the Arts by
Public Broadcasting Atlanta. The
American Public Garden Association bestowed its professional service
award on Matheson in 2010. Mary Pat
serves on the executive committee and
board of the Midtown Alliance, The
American Horticultural Society, and
the International Women’s Forum,
Georgia. She also serves on the board
of the Atlanta Convention and Visitors
Bureau. Bri is a self-taught artist with almost
40 years of experience producing
art, teaching, curating, and installing
exhibitions. His early works focused
on paper mâché fish, which he sold
through Phillips Gallery in Salt Lake
City. Bri was also an artist-in-residence
with the Utah Arts Council for 18
years, teaching three-dimensional art,
painting, and fish ecology. Upon arriving in Atlanta in 2002, Bri returned
to his love of collage and created three
dimensional boxes. In the past five
years he has focused on large contemporary paintings. His paintings can be
viewed at Lagerquist Gallery, where
he has had two solo shows.
Julie and Rob Moran
For seven years, Julie was the primary
substitute anchor, weekend anchor,
and senior correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. Prior to joining ET
in 1994, Moran anchored the Emmy
award-winning ABC’s Wide World of
Sports. She was the first woman to host
the show, and only the third host ever
following legendary sportscasters Jim
McKay and Frank Gifford. She was
also the first female host of NBA Inside
Stuff on NBC. Born in Thomasville,
GA, Moran won the 1980 America’s
Junior Miss pageant. She has a journalism degree from the University of
Georgia. After leaving ET, Moran took
time off to have her second daughter,
and chose projects that enabled her
to spend time with both girls (such as
creating and hosting the weekly series,
The Insider’s List With Julie Moran).
Currently, Julie can be seen on Lifetime’s morning show, The Balancing
Act. Moran, her husband, actor Rob
Moran, and their two daughters live
in Atlanta.
Rob is best known for his work in the
Farrelly Brothers’ comedies, including
Something about Mary, Me Myself and
Irene, Dumb and Dumber, and Kingpin.
He has enjoyed a number of guest
staring roles on TV, including Days
of Our Lives, Numb3rs, and Men of a
Certain Age. He recently worked with
Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore
in the film Blended. Rob can currently
be seen in the Randall Wallace film,
Heaven is for Real, and on Tyler Perry’s
show, The Haves and the Have Nots. Rob
also serves as executive producer of
the film Man Down with Shia Labeouf
and Gary Oldman.
Dikembe and Rose Mutombo
Dikembe was born in the Democratic
Republic of the Congo. He arrived
in the US in 1987 on an academic
scholarship to attend Georgetown
University. In his second year, Mutombo was invited to try out for the
university’s basketball team. Dikembe,
who graduated with dual degrees in
linguistics and diplomacy, is fluent in
nine languages. He played professional basketball for 18 years before
retiring from the Houston Rockets in
2009. Giving back has always been
one of Mutombo’s trademarks since
he entered the NBA in 1991. He is a
former spokesman for CARE, was the
first Youth Emissary for the United
Nations Development Program, and
also served on the Advisory Board
for the Fogarty International Center
at the National Institutes of Health.
Mutombo presently serves on the
boards of the National Constitution
Center, Special Olympics International, and the US Fund for UNICEF.
In 2009, NBA Commissioner David
Stern appointed Mutombo to the
newly created position of NBA Global
Ambassador. In 1997, he created the
Dikembe Mutombo Foundation. One
major project was the construction of a
new general hospital in the capital city
of Kinshasa. In December 2007 and at
a cost of $29 million, the Biamba Marie
Mutombo Hospital opened. Dikembe
Mutombo and his wife Rose live in
Atlanta with their three children.
Rose was born in the Democratic
Republic of the Congo. She attended
Villanova University and graduated
with a bachelor degree in Science of
Nursing. She speaks five languages
fluently. Rose is a board member of
the Dikembe Mutombo Foundation,
which focuses on improving health,
education, and quality of life in the
Congo. She is also a member of the
National Basketball Wives Association,
Behind the Bench. Rose is a mother
of three Lovett students and has been
married to Dikembe since 1995.
Susan Neugent
Susan Neugent is president and CEO
of Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Under her leadership, Fernbank
has achieved significant recognition in
collections, program expansion, financial growth, and management. The
successful completion of campaigns
to build the new children’s exhibition
NatureQuest, acquire the St. Catherine’s Island Collection, explore new
archaeological evidence of the first
contact period, and restore Fernbank
Forest, the largest old-growth forest
in a major US metropolitan area, represent major achievements. Prior to her
work at Fernbank, she served as senior
vice president at the Atlanta Chamber
of Commerce. Susan currently serves
on the SunTrust Atlanta Advisory
Board of Directors, the Atlanta Rotary
Club as an officer, and the DeKalb
Board of Ethics. Susan holds a
master’s degree in Urban Policy from
Emory University, and obtained her
undergraduate degree at UGA.
Tommy Newberry
Tommy Newberry is a Wall Street

Perrine Prieur
Perrine arrived in America in October
2006, where she worked as the sommelier at JOËL Brasserie for four years.
The owner of Perrine’s Wine Shop is
originally from Burgundy, France, just
a few miles from Chablis, the epicenter
of the French wine region. Perrine
developed a passion for food and wine
at an early age. At 14, she attended a
private school focused primarily on
the culinary arts and the hospitality
business. For four years she traveled
throughout France, working in various
kitchens and eventually deciding to
pursue her passion for wine. Upon
graduating from Le Castel sommelier
school, she moved to London to work
as a sommelier in the Michelin 3 star
restaurant Le Gavroche. She earned
a challenge medal for the best young
sommelier in Bordeaux in 2004. Perrine learned English after her move
to Atlanta and earned a sommelier
certification from the Master of Sommelier Institute.
Jonathan Serrie
Longtime Atlanta journalist Jonathan
Serrie is a national correspondent with
Fox News Channel and former reporter for WSB-TV. His assignments have
taken him to war zones in Kosovo
and Afghanistan, the epicenter of the
2010 Haiti earthquake, the Deepwater
Horizon oil spill, and more hurricanes
than he can count. Jonathan is a graduate of Emory University and serves on
the board of Crossroads Community
Ministries, a charity serving Atlanta’s
homeless. He lives in East Atlanta with
his wife Leigh, their son Liam, two
dogs, and five guinea pigs.
John Stephenson ‘93
John is the president and CEO of the
College Football Hall of Fame (Atlanta
Hall Management, Inc.). He was born
and raised in Atlanta. As president
and CEO, he is responsible for guiding
the broader efforts to construct and
develop the Hall. Prior to joining the
Hall, he was a corporate attorney
at the law firm of Troutman Sanders. He joined the firm in 2000 and
was named partner in 2007. Having
served as counsel to a number of
clients in the hospitality, sports, and
entertainment industries, Stephenson
was retained by project organizers
in 2009 to assist with efforts to move
the Hall to Atlanta. Stephenson holds
undergraduate and law degrees from
the University of Georgia, and lives
in Atlanta with his wife, Megan, and
kids, May and Jack.
