Green Living Integrated Literacy activity Speaking and Listening These activities can be done in any order. Starting with oral and aural activities allows whole group, cross-level integration and offers opportunities for learners with higher level oral/aural skills than reading and writing to participate. • Watch a video or DVD on an aspect of the environment. Since this is an area of interest to almost everyone, a mixed group of learners can respond at any level. • Each member of the group puts forward an environmental issue of importance to them. This could be spontaneous, following the viewing of a video or DVD or the teacher could start the topic and responses be prepared beforehand by learners individually or in groups.
