2017 NLF SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION OVERVIEW
A group that included Northeast Tarrant County public educators and other
members of the Northeast Leadership Forum created the NLF Scholarship Program.
The goal of the scholarship program is to promote the future success of Northeast
Tarrant County youth. The program seeks to identify and reward the leading
applicants in the following areas used in the evaluation process:
 Academic achievement
20%
 Financial need
30%
 Extracurricular activities
20%
 Community service/other activities
30%
You, the applicant, must meet the following requirements:
 Currently enrolled in the final year of studies in a public high school in
Northeast Tarrant County…Birdville ISD, Keller ISD, Northwest ISD, Carroll
ISD, GCISD, HEBISD
 Plans to use the funds to attend an accredited institution.
 Has fully completed the designated application form and submitted with
essay and transcript and reference letters by stated deadline.
 Application is legible.
