New Bake Stone Deli wraps
with exotic flavours
A
new range of Bake Stone
Deli wraps boasting exotic
flavours and infused combinations
will be launched in time for
the 2012 summer season in
supermarkets throughout Australia.
The Bake Stone Deli wrap range
incorporates a variety of gourmet
flavours. The unique textures and
flavours of the Seeds and Grains
combinations comprise Multigrain
Wraps containing kibbled wheat
and rye grains.
Deli Infusions combine fresh
garden herbs and vegetables
and exotic combinations include
Pesto & Garlic, Sundried Tomato
& Oregano, and Chili and Garlic
variants.
The intense flavours of the breads
can complement a range of fresh
fillings from the deli, including feta
cheeses, olives, tomatoes, deli
meats and fresh salad greens.
Other wholesome varieties in
the Bake Stone Deli wrap range
include Soy and Linseed, with
Coriander & Cumin Seed rounding
out the range.
Each packet of Bake Stone
Deli wraps contains six large
wraps (360gm) and contains no
artificial colours or flavours. In
handy resealable zip lock bags the
breads stay fresh and convenient
for easy use.
“The exotic flavours of Bake
Stone Deli wraps have been
developed to attract new
consumers and to increase
the wrap consumption in the
flatbread category,” a Bake Stone
Deli spokesperson said.
“The authentic feel to the
product is delivered in transparent
packaging as the wholesome
textures and flavours will appeal
directly to consumers who want
a healthy and vibrant change to
their meals.”
Bake Stone Deli wraps are
distributed by Dallas International.
Freedom Foods Gluten Free Thin Pizza Bases hits right note
Freedom Foods is
currently enjoying the
success of its new Gluten
Free Thin Pizza Bases
in Coles. The product,
launched in October, has
already become a leading
gluten free line within the
flat bread segment. The
launch of the product also
represents the diversifying
flatbread category, which
now includes a number of
gluten free and multicultural
offerings, beyond the
standard ‘white wrap’.
The number of people

diagnosed with coeliac
disease and intolerance
to gluten is growing each
year, Freedom Foods Brand
Portfolio Manager Angelo
De Blasio points out.
“Freedom Foods has
always recognised the
importance of providing all
Australians with quality food
and beverages which are
free of ingredients we don’t
necessarily need or want
in our diets, like gluten,” he
said.
“Our Gluten Free Thin
Pizza Bases are the newest
addition to our family, and
the response we’ve seen
from customers calling in
to leaving feedback on our
Facebook page has been
incredibly positive.
“We are also happy
to provide Australian
retailers with the
opportunity to diversify
their category and
cater to this emerging
market of consumers
that would otherwise
avoid the bread
and bakery aisle all
together.”
