Lastweek,studentswereabletoparticipateintheirthirdroundofFIBOartthisyear,learning
aboutthetwentiethcenturyartist,AndyWarhol.Hewasknownforpopart,whichhemade
famousinthe1960swithworkssuchasCampbell’sSoupCansandpaintingsofcelebritieslike
MuhammadAliandMarilynMonroe.WethankourPTAfortheirgenerousfundingthatprovided
thisprogramtoourstudents.
Changes to Our Morning Routine
Duetothechangesinspaceavailableontheblacktop,wewillnolongerbeabletoconductthe
WalkandTalkaspartofourmorningroutine.Nowwhenstudentsarriveinthemorning,theyare
togodirectlytotheirlineupspotsontheplaygroundandremainthereuntilthe8:13ambell.
Traffic Safety Reminders
PleasebemindfulofonlymakingRIGHTTURNSinandoutofourdrive-thrus.Leftturnsdisrupt
theflowoftraffic.Also,pleaseDONOTstopalongthenorthsideofLongdenAve.andwalkyour
childacrossthebusystreet.Thereisnostoppingduringourarrivalanddismissaltimes,andwe
wanttoensurethatourstudentsaresafeastheyarrivetoandleavefromschool.
Construction Update
ThefencethatwillsurroundtheconstructionstagingareawillbegoingupduringSpringBreak.
Carsand/orworktruckswillbeaccessingthecampusfromthenorthsideofLongden(westof
thedrive-thru).Pleasedonotenterthroughthisgateasthiswillbeconsideredaconstruction
zone.
In-N-Out Burger Day & Lunch on the Lawn
Weareofficiallysoldoutofmeals!Thankyouforyoursupport.LunchontheLawnwillbeheld
duringstudents’regularlunchperiods:5th/6th-11:25am,3rd/4th-11:45am,and1st/2nd-12:15
pm.Ticketswillbedistributedonthedayoftheevent.Studentswillreceivetheirtickets(iftheir
namewasindicatedontheorderform)fromtheirclassroomteachers.Parents,youcanobtain
yourticketsonceyouarriveforLOLorat1:00pmifyouwouldliketocarryoutyourorder.
LunchontheLawnwillbeoverat1:00pm(dismissal),however,youwillstillbeabletopickup
mealsuntil1:30pm.
