Helpful Hints

All skaters should arrive 15 minutes before class starts.
Please allow for extra time on the first day of class.
We recommend that you dress warmly, and in layers.
Always wear gloves or mittens. (Even in the summer)
Helmets are not provided or required, but we do recommend them for beginner skaters. Bicycle helmets are fine.
Ice skates should fit snugly. You should be able to wiggle
your toes slightly. Always wear thin socks for a more accurate fit. Refrain from doubling up socks for warmth, one
pair should be sufficient.
All class assignments will be posted by level & instructor.
Locate your name, who your instructor will be, and where
they will meet for class on the ice after group warm-up.
Parents should try to watch the classes from a distance
(but not too far) as to not distract the skater during class.
This is helpful at the beginning of the session, when a
young skater experiences separation anxiety.
If you plan on purchasing skates for your child, or yourself,
please consult one of our professionals to help choose the
most appropriate skate for the level.
