Y EMU WEEKL THEATRE GROUP A theatre group have been booked to perform The Jungle Book for KS1 children on Thursday 16th March (pm) and The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe for KS2 children on Friday 19th May (am). DINNER Thank you to all those families who attended the book MONEY. DINNER BOOK FAYRE fayre. We have sold £914.63 worth of books and MONEY SUPER-school will receive a percentage of this to spend on new books STARS for our school. SCIENCE UNDER THE STARS MUSIC A free festival of primary science will be held at Edge Hill University on Friday 24th March (4:00 - 7:00pm). The theme will be ‘Our Fragile Earth’ and they will be offering interactive stalls, activities and lectures all focused on helping children to understand our planet; its place in the Solar System and how to take care of it. Dodgeball for Year 5 and 6 boys began on Monday DODGEBALL YEAR 6 - 4:30pm) in the dance studio 20th February (3:30 SATS and will continue each Monday until Easter. This club will be taken by Mr. Adam Gilchrist. The girls enjoyed this club and now we are extending it to Year 5 and Year 6 boys. There is no charge OUTDOOR WELCOME EQUIPMENT BACK BACK RECEPTION HEALTH CHECK painting materials. Currently, After School Club is fully booked on certain days of the week. Please ensure you complete a booking form as soon as possible for the coming month to avoid disappointment. Please could we remind parents that places for club should be paid for in advance. Final invoices will be sent out in the next couple of weeks and all balances will need to be paid in full before accessing club after the Easter holidays. Thank you. Comic Relief will take place on Friday 24th March. The children are invited to wear red noses or other comic relief items on this day. COMIC RELIEF A non-uniform day will be held on Friday 24th March. The children can come to school wearing their own clothes in exchange for a chocolate egg! The chocolate eggs will then be used at the Easter Bingo on Wednesday 29th March (6:00pm). NONUNIFORM DAY WELCOME for this activity. Children in reception will take part in a height, weight and vision screening check on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th March. MRS KIRK The theme for the next week will be painting. Throughout the week the children will have the opportunity to use different BREAKFAST/ AFTER SCHOOL CLUB All children should have received a letter on Tuesday SPRING DISCO A spring disco for KS2 children will be 7th March to say that Mrs. Kirk will be finishing at Eccleston Mere on Friday 31st March. Mrs. Hesketh is going to become Acting Head Teacher and Mrs. McCarthy is going to become Acting held on Thursday 16th March (6:00 - 7:30pm). The cost per ticket is £2 and are available from the school office and your child’s name will be added once Deputy Head Teacher in the interim until the permanent position is we have received their £2. There is an allocation of 100 for advertised. this event and currently we have 72 names on the list. Thank you.
